Defunding the police will have a different impact on different areas. Suburbs will be relatively quiet. Rural areas will be even more on their own than they are now, but my sense is most people in those areas are used to that. Inner cities will become even more of a hell hole than they are now. Look for politicians to make deals with gangs to enforce their version of justice. It happened in chicago before, no reason it won't happen again.

What a complete TOOL. That’s all I can think to say. He was/is a preexisting sympathizer of the far left, and now is really showing his true colors. My sense is, this is just more BS to appease the screamers. It will lead to compromise - the problem is - it will lead to compromise.

I also like the lack of details. What exactly will the money be spent on? My bet is alot of money will go to groups with phrases like "community" or "justice" or "progressive" in their name but how much will actually benefit individual people?

Groups that are political donors. Which will then become larger political donors.

Anarchy is not synonymous with violence. Anarchy is a lack of order. Violence does not necessarily follow, except in some people's minds.

Anarchy is unstable and can't last for more than a few days.

Within a *very* short time, the strong will impose some form of order.

In most areas the framework for that new order already exists and is only kept in check by the existing order.

If the police were forbidden from operating in the inner city, exactly how long do you think it would take before the gangs completely took over ?

I'm betting within hours there would be new "rules" posted publicly.
