Read the whole article. LMAO. Good luck making her pay because the others choose to move out.
Again, wrong.
A landlord can terminate a lease at any time, and they should be able to. Why in the world should you be forced to house people on your property that you don't want there?

Kind of makes people defending that sort of "no, they can't just kick them out" nonsense look dumb doesn't it?LOL, you have never owned property or have been a landlord AND you have no idea what squatters laws/rights are are AND you have never had to deal with tenants. your statement is actually quite funny.
I strongly suggest you buy a shitty ass house, put some low income, section 8 welfare folks in there. then give us a call so we can all stand back and have a great laugh while they make a fool of you

Can you guys not see you're contradicting your own stance!?
That's what I'm laughing at.
And you wrong about the owning property bit. Just wait until those shills find out those "no trespassing"/"posted" signs are just for show.
Did you miss the whole bit about not caring about the piss poor red tape legal system?LOL, good god. you must own the most powerful politicians in NY along with the most powerful attorney's.
have dealt with landlords, slumlords, and tenants. Landlords have no rights and if there is a lease, it's like any other contract, you simply can't violate a written contract even though it goes against your beliefs. NY law is very clear on this matter (oddly enough) Once someone is in/on your property if they don't want to leave, it will take you months to get rid of them. Unless you have some magical plan or legal process, please school the class in this miraculous procedure
Darthy you have a lot to learn in life yet! That is some closet case Liberal statement right there.Again, wrong.

Agreed. Like why NYGF members love the government running things when they happen to agree with the politics.Darthy you have a lot to learn in life yet!

But I've tried to grasp that for years to no avail.
Masochism.So why are you here?
.
Using awful NY legal process to defend this doesn't make sense.
Apples to oranges level 10000000Did you miss the whole bit about not caring about the piss poor red tape legal system?
If you go by what is happening in the courts than the SAFE act is A-OK as well.
Private businesses can absolutely tell you "no guns" as well.Id have to argue you can't sign away a constitutional right in a lease agreement, we arn't talking about a pet or smoking. Its the equivalent of saying you won't practice a religion or vote while staying in your home ... if pressed it wont hold up in court.
Well yeah. Not because it's actually different, but because you only agree with one. That's always how it goes on here.Apples to oranges level 10000000

You absolutely have the right to trespass unwanted people from your property.Totally difference circumstances you are in a lease agreement that property becomes your home/domicile and rights are the strongest in the home. Your landlord has no right to restrict your constitutional rights ...
You absolutely have the right to trespass unwanted people from your property.
If you signed a contract with people agreeing to house them for a year, then no, you should not just be able to change your mind and kick them out after 6 months. And how did I know the defection to the red tape eviction process was going to happen. Too predictable.
And of course this is only happening because you agree with the "victim's" political views.
But in reality, and think about this carefully before you answer, you think people should be entitled to occupy your property, even if they become unpalatable to you?
Answer honestly now.
I thought it was illegal for a landlord to bar a tenant from having legally procured firearms.
Not necessarily. Lots of laws dictating what you can demand of tenants.Their property, their rules.
They absolutely cannot. Ask any land lord who has had an unpaying tenant if they were able to kick them out. This is a person's home, there are many things a landlord lacks power to do.Probably, but it doesn't really matter. A landlord can boot you off their property at any time.
