My dad has the same shelves with all of his liquor on them. I asked him if he didn’t like the stuff he had on the shelves or was he fond of cleaning up glass. The shelves were on the edge of collapse when I caught it and we moved everything to stainless steel racks.
I don't think those are high enough for that to be a concern. The gallons are on the floor and the bottles are only on the second shelf. I don't plan on sticking water on the higher shelves. Not sure waht I will put there, perhaps other prepping related gear? A rocket stove, water filtration gear perhaps. Lemony cake substance emergency ration packs.
You do have a good start. Down here in hurricane country I have to build up my stores. My main concern is power back up. In NY I have a generator I just need to get the house wired for one down here.
I would not mind some of these huge plastic cannisters. My main source of emergency supply calories now is lots of bags of basmati rice and cans of beans. Very cheap and extremely long shelf life.
Its not as much as it looks like, each bucket has 12 pouches, each pouch is considered two servings. For a loner such as myself I would consume 2 pouches per day so rougly 1 week per bucket.
Yeah, I have a shit ton of matches for household use but I should get some fero rods and starter stuff like alcohol cloth. I need to get some water filtration gear too. There is a small stream within walking distance. Its fast flowing so hopefully safe to drink after filtered.
Sometimes I break open a pouch when I am too lazy to fix anything else. I am making the buckets strictly off limits but that lone pouch will be a goner soon.
I don't think you would need even a fraction of that actually, you'd wind up dead soon if you were that trigger happy. But I also plan for becoming an anti democrat partisan after the election. I have plenty other 5.56 than that, including 500 rounds of 64gr Gold Dots and 500 hundredish IMI M193. Whatever was leftover from my last class with OnSight.
I would use stabilizer, but also use it for snowblower/lawn mower so it's somewhat replenished and topped off with fresh gas once in a while.
I use ethanol free gas for my storage gas with stabilizer and Marvel Red Mystery Oil. After 6 months of using in mower, snow blower i use it up in my car. Rotate and start over.

I actually got a bunch of candles in case of power outages. I also have a big battery bank power supply unit that I used to keep in my truck. I could run my phone, tablet and charge up Li-Ion baterries for quite some time of that I imagine. I also have one of those hand crank emergency radios around here somewhere. I should go find it and put it on the shelf.
BIC lighters are cheap and a good value. I have them in my car, desk, range bag, tool box..... plus a bunch in my prepper stash. You can submerge them, dry them out and they're up and running. Buy bulk. But buy BIC. BIC makes the standard lighters plus long neck lighters and a windproof long neck. I have all. Scripto is not a bad brand either but the economy standard BIC has been a constant companion. I have lots of other fire starting methods but the BIC is economical and reliable.
