I have the lc9s pro also. Great trigger, I'm guessing the new lcp is pretty close to it.

Not due to recoil? I still carry a factory barrel P07 and a mostly stock OEM G17. Ported the barrel in the 19 gets the sights back down on target faster, same concept as those that port open guns or run comps on their open guns (but we can really have a comp here in NylY)

Hard to give a magic advice here, just opinions and there are a lot of different thoughts on the topic. Here are a few of my thoughts:
The modified carry gun is a topic of heated debate and I will not speak about it now, plenty of info out there supporting both sides. Imo if you choose to modify a carry pistol 2 things to consider. First, dont do anything that could effect the reliability like a trigger over-travel stop that could loosen up and and cause the trigger not to reset. Also, if changing a striker spring dont go real light as it could lead to light strikes. The stock spring in 5.5# I do have a 4# spring in my G34 but if it were a carry pistol I would not go under 4.5# and would change it every year or so. Second, dont make the trigger too light even if you train a lot you cant train in a real high stress environment, and when stress increases fine motor skills diminish. The last thing you want to do is have a round fire if not intended, and with a competition trigger it could happen. With a light competition trigger it is pretty easy to have a bump fire now the bump fire shots I get do hit the target, but could be a big liability.
If lighten/improve the trigger a few things can be done.
The connector is the first place many will go and again the opinions are all over the place. Some connectors dont work well unless bent, some create drag on the bottom of the slide so it could be some trial and error. If you dont want to do the trial thing the glock minus connector is a great start, it dose make a difference and they always seem to work without screwing around. Some of the lighter connectors I have felt cause the wall to be reduced.
The striker spring can lighten the pull too but as mentioned before I would not try anything less than 4.5#. It is a cheep spring that can be changed easily.
The firing pin safety plunger and light spring does make a difference imo, but is minimal.
The trigger itself will make a big difference in the feel but may not change the pull weight much or at all. There are a bunch of options out there that get great reviews. I do have the Overwatch Poly trigger and it feels the same to me as the metal one that is twice the price. The metal one does have a coated trigger bar tho.
The 25 cent trigger job has proven to make the pull weight lighter, a bunch of videos about this. I have never tried it but have no doubt it would make a difference.
A improved trigger can surly make a difference in accuracy but nothing beats practice and coaching. I dont shoot my G26 that often and find that it takes me a bunch of rounds to sharpen up.

I just installed the OverWatch trigger. Night and day. Haven't shot it yet but it seems a lot lighter with the existing 4.5 Ghost Ranger connector I had on there previously while still maintaining a felt reset.
Cool!! I figured you would be happy with that. I bet you will shoot better with it, especially when shooting fast.

50 rounds of deliberate slow fire at 10 yards trying to make every shot perfect.
And 50 rounds of rapid fire at 10 yards with all shooting fundamentals mostly outside the window.
Also, the trigger is further back so it's easier for my bitch hands to reach. I think I'll hold off on that grip reduction that I wanted.

I took a leap of faith and it paid off for me. The reason why I did it was because I shot the new LCP 2 better and it's trigger was way lighter than the stock Glocks.
Who knows. I may drill holes in my barrel someday too.
It'll be the Shield that get a trigger update first in any case. The M&Ps are excellent pistols but I cannot brake the trigger on any of those things without moving the front sight. I'm glad we made Will a believer. It's really astonishing the difference between the overwatch and the stock trigger. @Podmonkey honestly if you don't like the stock triggers you have to try an aftermarket. For glocks all I have tried is the overwatch, and can't recommend them enough. I will probably try something just to see what's out there. For M&P's I hear these are they guys to buy from.

Triggers are easily replaced. If you buy one and don't like it you can switch it back easy enough. It's just money.
