I could spend 500 bucks on a trigger to put into an AR10, that would be fun.

Ding Ding Ding ... Your options are 2,4,6 shots, that's not control, time saved on a conventional double tap is negligable, useing a well made rifle and good trigger your putting 2 next to each other no problem, this trigger solves a problem that doesn't really exist. Let's be honest It's a legal way to get as close to full auto as possible without being sent to Fedral prison.
Hey I'm not against range toys everyone has a right to buy what ever floats thier boat. I'll make what ever excuse in my head I need too to justify a purchase, I fully admit it comes down to a simple answer ... I don't need a reason I just want it.

You realize that you still have the option of single shot semi fire right? On both types you engage binary by rotating the selector to where full auto would be on a mil gun, which is cool all by itself. So you have options from precision single fire, Rapid controlled double taps or full on bullet hose if you "pulse" the trigger. Really it's like getting the benefits of the military giggle switch in a more practical, legal package.

I get it, pull the trigger, do a little dance and get down tonight to implement a single shot. $500 dollar solution to a problem I personal don't need resolved. It's not a cheap giggle switch. Best thing about having friends I can borrow their giggler and give it back after I'm done, keep the 5 shells in me pocket. You can just call me Mr. Crabs

I don't see it as a range toy. On safe you cannot pull the trigger. On semi you get 1 shot. On binary you get 2. It's no different than a military M16a4 rifle. Safe, semi, 3 round burst.
As far as utility goes, you lay down suppressive fire to allow others in your team to reposition themselves just like some do with the 3 round burst in the military.
It isn't full auto. It's not meant to be. But neither is the military's 3 round burst. It's meant for laying down accurate burst fire.
Reliability is a concern but that is nothing a few months in the winter and summer at a few thousand rounds can't fix on a new, spare lower that's keeped for that purpose.

Just a random question for Will. What happens if someone has a really fast trigger finger (like a Jerry Miculek finger) and they squeeze the trigger again before the 3 round burst is done? Have you ever seen that happen?

No. Can't say that I have. In that case, this isn't for him.
I'm not sure if I remember the correct answer to this question. I think it was discussed in boot camp. I think you just miss that trigger pull. If the sear hasn't reset fully I don't think a trigger pull does anything. I think it's the same built in design that doesn't allow you to hold the trigger to full auto. In other words you need a fully reset sear and a trigger pull to initiate a burst of fire.

This is what I was thinking. I know the burst is achieved with a cog like piece that allows 3 rounds and then engages the sear not allowing for any more rounds to go off. There is a scenario though where you can get the gun to fire only 1 or two rounds by pulling the trigger on a 3 round burst. When reloading if you emptied the previous mag firing only 1 or 2 shots then when you fire again the rifle will only shoot to the last position on the cog. Here you'll see that happen. Sorry I just like to know how these things work

All this talk got me thinking...itchy finger....so decide to try out a geissele SD 3gun trigger. Figured I will replace the standard milspec in my AR pistol. Wtf, treat her right and added some nice non rotational pins as well and an original Magpul afg...since batfe only gave the all clear for the original not the afg2 as they were silent on the v2. Same thing but not worth the headache.
