Aimpoint finally repeal their updated ACRO. It definitely performs and looks better than the Gen 1. I might have to get one.

Seems like I might have so finagling to do. Could get the ACRO P-2 for my 34. Than I could use my 509T as an offset red dot on another rifle build. Or maybe just keep the 509T where it’s at and use the ACRP P-2 as an offset...options!Sold
The 509T is definitely a beast. Cowan has over 10,000rds and 20 drop tests on it and it still works. The 509T is also a titanium housing to the ACRO P-2 having a 7075-T6 aluminum housing. Time will tell, or more like the future drop tests will tell lol.So just by looking at side by sides (kinda) the P2 looks like it will be a stronger design as well as the actual battery life
Looks like HK engineers got hold of it. Fuckin beast! IDK about the extra muzzle flip with that Barn on top though. It will be nice to see Aaron's review of it.
I do prefer irons forwards. It’s definitely nicer. So I am pretty dead set now that I want an ACRO P-2 (I was leaning heavy to the 509t, another awesome optic choice).
Well the biggest thing for me is mounting.. and yes I know I can get a mounting plate from C&H or maybe even FCD but I've always been a fan of the Agency Arms AOS (Agency Optic System) mainly because for optics I am 100% sold on irons forward.
Well with the AOS you can get the mounting plate with the option of the rear iron sight either forward or rear of the optic (each a different plate) which is pretty nice gives people an option. You then have to buy the iron sights and add them to the plate.
Did some digging and looks like the AOS plate for the ACRO (which is significantly more money than the other AOS plates) not only comes with both front and rear sight, but the single plate is cut to do either option

I tried to find a 509t awhile back and there were none to be found. You may have better luck with the ACRO P-2 .

Have an eye doc appt today as ive noticed my vision has been getting blurry. Havent had new glasses in 3 or 4 years now and have had the same prescription for about 6 years. I still like shooting irons, but Im sure i will appreciate shooting with a dot.Welcome to the world of dots. You will not be disappointed.
Glad i chose well. I should have checked here before ordering, but found a thread on arf that recommended it over the chpw v4 plate since the fcd is made of steel over alum.
I was debating going with a 17 since i dont see much of an advantage with the larger 34 if running a dot, but ive always wanted the 34 and wont always run it with a dot.
