Okay, I'm getting you now. So what we need to do is develop the ultimate cartridge. I have a revolutionary idea. We can get rid of the primer, powder, the case and even the gun itself! What we do is we cast a lead bullet and cast into the base of this revolutionary bullet is a handle. How it works is you hold the bullet by the handle and you slooooowly walk it into the target! See? Brilliant!

676 energy vs 1078 energy for apples to apples hard cast. That’s a huge difference. It’s not even in the same ball park. I have shot both and an say the 10mm can be fun. The .41 mag loaded hot can be not so fun on the range! Either will drop a deer no problem though.

Not in ny! My hk super holds 10 (or 12 in free states). The 255 gr is what I want to use on deer. It’s not that bad in terms of recoil but should thump a deer.
I'm saying the low end .41 Mags line about up with the high end 10mm loads. That was my point. Well my original point was that I thought nuclear 10mm loads landed midpack among the .41 Mag loads. I was wrong. They dovetail nicely together. The .357 Mag is right along side the 10mm.
Here is the thing though, a Glock 20 gives you 15 rounds of around 700lb-ft per shot of energy in a duty size gun easily and comfortably carried OWB on the hip or out of the way on the chest. The revolvers are going to be heavier and way down on capacity. I still think the Glock 20 is a good "Oh shit bear!" pistol. Particularly in situations where shooting bear is not the objective of the day's activities.

Lightweight projectile but at a 7.5mm nominal diameter its actually hefty for caliber. Question is does it have the sectional density to allow a stoutly constructed bullet to penetrate deep into thick skinned/dangerous game, does it have the mass?
What I was looking for was another magnum class autoloader cartridge that could be feasibly ergonomic in a double stack mag. With rounds like the .460 Rowland and the .45 Winchester Magnum you get even more power than anything listed above but I don't think many people could wrap their mitts around a double stack mags, were they ever developed, for these cartridges.
On that note I thought it would be interesting to include:

Not next year.. they are releasing a polymer version going for about 1,500 and will shoot 7.5, 10mm and 9mm
Know what though? They are doing a polymer frame version for $1,500. 7.5FK caliber but with conversion kits for 9mm and 10mm. Pending cost and availability of the conversion kits I am interested in this.
