Its not s secret if they're talking about it on the news.

I have a feeling if this was anything more than highly visible posturing while the diplomacy happens in the shadows, the first we would heard about it would sound something like "North Korea was just hit with 23 Tomahawk cruise missiles fired from...."

I was watching a documentary the other day on ww2 mostly focused on how it affected civilians. There was a pretty decent segment on the London blitz and what they want through in their daily lives while being bombed. What the German civilians dealt with from the allied carpet bombing raids to the Russian onslaught. They also spent time talking about life in America during ww2. There were orders of resource rationing and shortage, growing victory gardens, blackouts etc.. The American population never really suffered but there sure were significant inconveniences.

It made me think that since ww2 not a single generation of American civilians has remotely had to suffer during any sort of war or conflict involving another nation (ignoring people directly connected through personal loss of a military member who was a casualty). The biggest inconvenience Americans had was participating in nuclear war drills with duck and cover in school. That's it. Our wars have been Fought and the burden has been borne solely by such a small percentage of our population that the majority of current day Americans is oblivious to what a major scale modern global war would be like.

I think if anything happens with NK somehow someway there will be an impact on the continental US and our civilian population. I don't see a way around it.


Ive been watching this for awhile and I've felt this way before but I'm starting to think that we are cornering NK into Sun Tsous "death ground" I think NK is dead set on developing missiles and nukes. Nothing will make them voluntarily stop. Nothing. The US has incrementally increased pressure on them and has The strongest sanctions in place ever. There are reports that NK may face another near term famine this year or next. I Think dear leader is on death ground. He is going to be forced to either attack or die. I think this situation is going to have to resolve itself one way or the other, sooner than later.

I think that is the plan. To either starve him into submission or force him to strike out first so that we can go in and wipe North Korea off the map with the UN go ahead.

It was released because Trump is applying gradual pressure, hoping the next step may weaken him enough, he's not rushing into a war. He's leaving him an open door to negotiate he's also telling him that we are not baking down andwe are preparing for war.

I think we all know, that Kim will not negotiate ,I'm sure Trump does too. But he needs to show the world that he gave Kim every chance before an attack.

I think this buildup is being orchestrated partially due to the winter Olympics being held this year in Seoul. Even without the buildup I don't believe rocket man would try to pull some stupid move.

I think the problem is the perception by the rest of the free world that the games are being held in an unstable location and they are fraught with fear. This buildup is an attempt to allay those fears.

Just my $.10 minus $.08
