This is how stupid these laws are that are enforced. I have a Pistol permit. The wife does not. The wife has a medical marijuana card. I do not. This is actually true. I’m not making this up. She just recently got it for chronic back pain.
If we get pulled over in separate cars maybe on separate days too and she has her THC Tincture and one of my guns and and I have one of my guns and one of her THC Tinctures, I would go to jail for the Marijuana and she would go to jail for the gun.
Both are legal but the headline would read, “Dumbass yada yada yada” and the majority of you guys would say that we are stupid perps. That guy shouldn’t of have had all those THC tincture’s not prescribed to him. He deserves what he gets. Guns aren't illegal for law abiding citizens. If this guy has prior weapons charges for doing something illegal then he lost his right for possession. I didn't look him up but I will take @GOPerfect 's word for it. Constitutional carry should be legal, unless you are not a law abiding citizen. I am against all firearm registration, but that got blown to hell in 1934. I'm heavily thinking of getting a PP, just so I can protect myself and family from the dangerous thugs homo wants to let run loose. It's going to become the wild wild east if homo keeps it up.

That line of thinking is why we have gun control laws to begin with. Guns should be legal for all free people even if you are out of jail. Do felons have the right to free speech and speedy trial of their peers when they get arrested again?

That I agree with. Eye for an eye. If it can be proven 100 percent that you killed someone without hearsay, then the punishment should be death. If you rob someone with a gun or break into someone’s home, it should be life in prison. Enough with filling up the jails with drug arrests. Let them do drugs but if they rob or kill someone, then the above punishments should apply.

Tish James is one of Cuomo's handpicked minions. She didn't put this out there as a warning to New Yorkers that they're going to be in danger. She put this out there as advance notice to taxpayers that our taxes are going up again to fund this 'reform'
Obviously she just wants money, but the concerns are valid regardless of her politics. The editors of The NY Post will very rarely agree with someone like her. But that was their point: this law is so disastrous that even a super-progressive who agrees with its premise is forced to admit that it was conceived poorly.

Your argument always seems to be that because someone is a criminal, it’s okay to violate their rights. Well it started like that and guess what? Who’s rights are being violated now? Ours. So in the future when it is okay to violate a criminal’s 1st Amendment rights, afterwards ours would be violated as well.

If he's a "bad guy" who is going to rob another store, he needs to be locked up, not walking around with the only thing stopping him a "pretty please, next time you commit a crime, don't commit a second one and get a gun first".

This will be interesting. Having the suspect locked up provided for a cooling off period, let the victim and family calm down and think. Come January, nope, the suspect is back in public instantly.
It is going to be a complete disaster for domestic violence cases. We’re going to have to implore the victims to leave the household asap. Overtime will likely go up a lot though as multiple arrests of the same perp will increase.

Didn't even think of domestics. Parts of this law are clearly in violation of the US Constitution the rest is void of any concern for public safety and well being. NY is a shit show. County Sheriff, DA's and Judges will need to step up.
