Mags are loaded, coffee is ground...

Most Saturday mornings one of my friends text's me when he on his way to pick me up so the night before I load up my mags and bags, grind the coffee for French Press so as NOT to wake the family by grinding coffee at 6am....

We hit the range for up to 1.5 or 2 hours, then head home. I usually make breakfast for the wife and kids and he does the same when he gets home.

Hell, if we can't sleep we might as well shoot! I'm usually up by 530 anyway.

I have my Springfield Range officer 9mm packed, my Sig 380 in it's holster, S&W Victory and a Colt 45 for bullseye practice also packed.

I get up at 3:00am to 5:00am and drive 1.5 to 3.5 hours to rifle matches every weekend (less winter).

How do you like that Springfield 1911 in 9mm. Also how do you like the sig .380. I've heard great things about both.

I love the 1911 in 9mm. It's a fantastic gun. I call it my range gun because I practice so much with it. Funny thing is after a few thousand rounds through it, I have really improved my skills and I'm so much better with my Shield 9mm which is my carry gun in the winter. I could conceal the 1911 if I wanted to but it's heavy.

The Sig is my summer carry gun. It's light enough that I can conceal it wearing gym shorts if I want to. At 21 feet I can sink them all in 9's and 10's rapid fire. It's like a baby 1911. It's probably my favorite gun out of all the ones I own.
