My understanding is training is always center mass. Largest area. Could it be wrong. Additionally, under stress, training would (or should) take over, less thought, more reaction. If consistently training center mass, it may have simply been reactionary. Just my .02

Center mass is a good first step, but if you don't get the desired result you've got to be prepared to change tactics. Nasal canal or pelvis if the head isn't an option.

This is sad for everyone. Sad for the families who lost loved ones senselessly. Sad for that community who were just going about thier day. Sad for the first responders who had to deal with this today and in thier futures. Sad for those same first responders families who will potentially see thier family member try to come to grips with what they have witnessed. Sad that we will all witness politicians use this as a platform, standing upon all those listed above in thier misery to punish, not the offender, not to publicly vilify his actions and blame the person, but punish all of us, those law abiding citizens with what will be, no doubt, rushed gun control measures.

Not sure how much training you need shooting fish in a barrel. He had a well thought out plan with recon and apparently executed it.

Am I the only one that finds the timing of this absolutely perfect ? Just two days ago, a 3 judge panel of the 9th circuit decided that barring 18 - 20 year olds from owning semiautomatic rifles was unconstitutional. The left shreiked and their heads exploded. This is the EXACT example they need to demand that an en-bank court reverse the decision. That WILL happen. Of course, it was going to happen anyways, but today's incident guarantees it.
Also, to me, this whole thing is just too perfect. Every single metric that the anti's want to use is there. Every politician and alphabet agency has everything they want all wrapped up in one single headline. White. Male. Supremacist. Internet radicalized. Racial Hate crime. Assault weapon. High capacity magazine. Body armor.
About the only thing missing is ghost gun. That will easily be solved when the government substitutes his lower for one from Poly 80. I'd bet there's some ATF or FBI agent milling one out right now just to have it ready for tomorrow's press release.

Although the manifesto seems a little hokey, this went public because it's the biggest casualty count for an event so far this year. Sucks that this kid went for his 15 minutes of fame at the expense of his future and the rest of NYS legal holders.
