3) Last month I was cutting brush on my own property and had the cops called by a neighbor who didn't understand I was actually cutting brush on my land. I was asked for ID. Since I knew I was doing nothing wrong (it was my property!) I got into a huge argument with them and it became violent and I was arrested. Although they had received a call in and I was potentially suspicious, I knew I was good to go, so I was completely non-compliant. OR did I appreciate their perspective, show them my ID, have a chat with one about the site while the other checked my ID, and then five minutes later was back to cutting brush?

Yes, the difference is one scenario happened, the other didn't Always show your driver's license when you're pulled over while driving. That's really as simple as I can make it.

Hardly a big crime, but it was a valid stop, then they spent a very long time as she went back and forth with them declining the entire time to show ID, demanding they bring up on a website where the law is that says she has to, etc. They also did let her know and she still insists one being an utter fool about it. They warn her many times if she does not give ID she'll be arrested. Many times. Humor her as far as they possibly can. She is arrested then cries foul. No sympathy.

Now watch this same video broken down piece by piece quoting law. All this mental gymnastics on the law for riding a fucking bicycle straddling a nonexistent line would have been avoided with a verbal warning if the officer really thought it to be a serious issue. Instead charges were dropped, the police contract to patrol the university was dropped , and a lawsuit was filed.

I would have been issued numerous citations as a kid if all officers were like him.

I'm over 50 and been driving since age 16 till this day I've only had maybe 2 rude my shit don't smell you're guilty of something traffic stops not that I've been stopped a lot but all others never had issues with only one time state police were doing sobriety stop on route9 in croton after midnight I had a really bad cold possibly walking pneumonia. Good evening sir we conducting sobriety check have you been drinking tonight No sir but I'll be willing to take breathalyzer test trooper no need just blow a little bit towards my direction I was driving a GMC C30 van so his face was at even height with me I told him I was sick would be safer using breathalyzer but he said smelling my breath would be faster so I did he said thank you have a safe ride . No fucking way I would put up with the shit you guys go through daily .
