I just read somewhere that the couple has hired a private security company out of Texas to protect them and their house. I believe it. They can certainly afford it. Makes you wonder what would happen if it was just an average family with only a shotgun or something. They would be sitting ducks after the seizure.

This prosecutor clearly doesn't care that they were well within the law. Anyone else in that jurisdiction finding themselves in a similar situation will be dragged through "the process" anyway, regardless of how sternly worded the eventual court ruling is.
She'll just say "I may not be able to send you to prison, but I can at least make them pay $50k or so to defend themselves".
