2 batteries vs. One. Bet there's not much difference.
Two CR123A’s weigh approximately 1.198oz
One 18350 weighs approximately 0.846oz
So if we are going off of just battery weight, the PL350 wins. But .352oz is negligible. The difference in weight will definitely be in the body and the heads of the lights. Let’s see if I can find this information out.
I know other people in the past tried to downplay the launch of the PL350 by claiming there will be no holster support

Some words from Cory:“Part of a successful release of a pistol light is holster support at launch. Sadly the big guys seem to fail to understand this as we have seen with the last few new lights to come to market with little to no holster support at launch. The second is building infrastructure to produce the light in enough quantities so guys can actually get them. That takes partnerships with the top holster companies and also sufficient financial resources to produce enough inventory for initial demand.
Part of the reason we began leaking so long ago was to build excitement so we could get the holster support we needed to be successful. Without holster support our new light would not have much initial demand.
Today we received a small production sample shipment of the new PHLstr Floodlight PL350. We will be testing these alongside production PL350 lights with our internal test team and extended testing team. Many other companies are also working on support so we will see fairly widespread availability at launch.
As to those that continue to ask when it will be available we are not answering questions because frankly we are not sure the exact date yet. We need the holster support from multiple companies and we also need the inventory to push to the dealer network before we can launch.
And for Christ’s sake no we will not offer FDE, ODG or clear at launch it’s black or nothing. We will be lucky to keep black in stock at launch. If we can do colors at some point we will don’t expect it on day one or even day ninety. We also don’t export for the same reason. We can barely keep up with American demand so I see zero reason to dilute inventory when we have demand here.”
As shitty as it is waiting for the light, I would rather a company wait and do the right thing and have a solid launch with plenty of lights to be sold so they don’t sell out within one minute of release. It’s also nice that when the PL350 drops there will already be plenty of compatible holster options for purchase right away. It would be pretty stupid to not wait and not allow the holster companies to make compatible holsters before the launch. It’s definitely the smarter plan the way they are doing it. It happens all the time where a company releases their new product and they sell out literally within a minute or two and then the masses are whining and complaining about how can they have none in stock anymore.
Any idea what that funky slid release is on that 45? That's not stock is it?

So I've been thinking, and I'm wondering if Modlite will sell just the PL350 body or if it will be a package only.

I would think eventually. Right out of the gate they will have so much demand I doubt they could make enough light bodies to sell separately.
