I like Sharpe but as a vote for him it's not a strategic vote, it's a gun vote. We need to combine our votes with the the non-gun owning Andy hating voters in NY who want to see him unemployed. My heart says to vote for Sharpe but the strategic thinker in me says I have to find as many allies as possible, hence Molinaro. The same reason people wanted Cynthia Nixon to stay in this race is the same reason Cuomo loves why Sharpe is still in it.

He's at the wrong point in his career to be an effective governor if you consider the massholes in Albany right now. He would make a good legislature representative at this point and could mature into a state senator but I don't see the executive maturity necessary to execute the role as governor. His views of life are simple, I can see why he appeals to my son (26). I could see him being run over by the legislature and senate and abused by the media. I was at a 90 minute town hall Q&A session with Molinaro. He thinks on his feet. I can see Molinaro dealing with Albany politics.

Cuomo really needs to play in NYC traffic. What I found really interesting is even popular news sites like Syracuse.com endorsed Molinaro, and driving around Onondaga I literally have never seen a single sign for Cuomo. Maybe Moli has a shot if enough of upstate gets out and enough of NYC stays home. We’ll see

The Siena poll has 3.9% MOE and also shows 3% prefer Sharpe and another 7% undecided. I will hold my nose and vote for Mollinaro and agree with you that FUAC will take another term but there's certainly enough room in the numbers that Sharpe could wind up a spoiler.

Back in 1994 Pataki beat Mario Cuomo. Pataki ended up not being a gem but it ended that Cuomo rein. Right now CSEA workers really do not find Andy favorable and they voted against their union bosses back then. I get the same sense today. Corrections union people don't like Andy either.

Molinaro and Sharpe cannot both win.
So, splitting the vote is a sure loss.
With all the Molinaro, Sharpe and independent votes going to one guy, he has a chance.

Its just typical republican voting.

In this state the only way to get rid of Cuomo is to pull together.
That's exactly how politics work.
Do you know how many people votedfor Trump who wish they had another viable choice? Probably half of the people that voted for him.

So why not band together to get Cuomo out.

Like I said before. You'll be able to add up the votes for Sharpe and Molinaro, and it still won't equal Cuomo's total. People can bitch and moan about "uniting" and "banding together" and "it's the only way to get Cuomo out" but they're blind. They need to wake up. Cuomo is taking this election. There are just too many left leaning people. We couldn't even come close 4 years ago after SAFE. What makes people think this year will be different?
