Most reliable Battle rifle -AR308?

Here is a bullet button for the scar 17. Any other mag locks for this platform? Single shot if it cannot be opened like an AR for top loading?

Thought I would follow up on this just in case it might help someone.

The raddlock is difficult to find, but does work. Downside is that the bullet button feature of the raddlock cannot be locked or disabled (shy of epoxy).

However, the genuine bullet button can in fact be locked down so that an allen wrench is needed to unbolt the mag. Cheaper to boot.

Top loading is no more difficult than top loading an AR.

The SCAR itself is sweeeeeeeet! The only thing I do not like is the cheese grater quad rail. Aftermarket to the rescue, Parker Mountain Machine makes rail eliminators for sides and bottom, or mlok to replace picatinny.

But unless the cop or judge carries a set of allen wrenches in his pocket this rifle is unable to accept a detachable magazine.

No issue to clear a double feed. The 10/20 mag completes the evilness.

any modern well made AR 308 rifle will be just as reliable as the next one.

i use aero stuff. it is nice. i have had fit and finish issues. i have had shipping issues. if you search arfcom you can see a posting under aero industry about me bashing them.

that being said, i build many many. so i see issues you may not.

mega is the way to go. perfect in every way.

buy a RCA BCG. they are the best for the money IMO.

The mega upper will not work without a mega lower correct? I do not have the luxury of using anything other than a dpms-style ar10 lower. Would you please make a recommendation for an upper?

The GG won't play a mega, only dpms.

Have you ever tried an Aero M5E1 complete upper with a BCG from rubber city armory? I wonder if they are known to be compatible.

Let me add it must be a DPMS Gen 1 pattern upper (not Gen 2).
