Police are saying that there were no credible threats but that several students apparently refused to go to school today because they believed something was going to happen. I'd like to know more about what they thought would happen and why no one investigated.

Also sounds like the gun was purchased legally just a few days ago by the shooter's father.

I think the parents should have been much more responsible for this kid of theirs.

Gun owners have the responsibility to ensure they are secured. Early reports said the father had purchased the gun only 4 days prior to the shooting. The kid should not have had access to the gun. Parents clearly share some legal liability but not sure exactly what the appropriate charge should be.

Now kids aren't allowed to fight back against the bullies because of asinine "zero tolerance" policies, and administrators to lazy to actually figure out why a fight happened so the just punish everyone.

So these things just build and build until someone snaps.

The only person responsible is the one that committed the act.

I should be able to go on my front lawn, put a fully loaded AR out there with a big Wile E Coyote "free birdseed"-esque arrow pointing to it that states "this is an AR" next to it and it STILL is only the responsibility of the PERSON that COMMITTED the act.
