Proof is sort of important though wouldn't you agree? If we could just accuse people or businesses of being guilty and that made them guilty we wouldn't really have any freedom at all as you'd be subject to the fanciful whim of anyone who wanted to accuse you of anything at all.

Edit: by the way if there is concrete proof that the US government made Twitter ban Trump, then by all means I'll take a different position on this, but until then it's just a private business making business decisions.

If the people controlling Twitters Ban machine are complicit with the ideologies of the people presently running the show in Washington, no one needs to "force" anyone to do anything. Twitter simply performed as one cog in the machine that is dramatically changing the Country I grew up in. Facebook, Washington Post, NPR, MSM and more are components of that machine as well. I fear it is perilously close to being too late to save the Republic from the insidious movement that we are only now waking up to. It did not start just yesterday. Shame on us for for being complacent for so long. JMO

The same logic applies. If you want to bake a cake, then bake it. If not tell them to leave. Nobody owes you their services. My personal likes/dislikes are unimportant. Private entities should make those decisions.

Twitter ... facebook and other social media sights i have been on ..

they all had a ban or block or ignore button you can click when someone you don't like is a asshole ..

the platform owner/employees ... doesn't even have to be involved

if you dont like it .. block it your own self .. its like a TV .. change the fkin Channel LOL ..

I think twitter sucks, I don't have an account there and never will. This decision was made well before Musk bought it, and it doesn't change after he bought it either. Twitter is trash.

If you put a bulletin board in your yard that's open to the public, but you remove any postings you disagree with, then yes, that is violating the principles of free speech.

If the board is intended for a single topic and you just remove off topic posts, it is not. But if you remove *on* topic posts merely because you can't refute their contents, then yes, you are absolutely anti free speech.

Those of us with eyes to see and ears to hear saw this one coming the moment they placed Musk in the picture and was seen by many on both sides as some sort of 'savior' for free speech in big tech.
