Love the build, i have the same stock...............is the door on yours a m/f er to open ? My gorilla hands are not weak, but I have to press w/ both thumbs really hard to get the bitch to open. I can't figure a way to decrease the effort needed to open it. The standard A2 buttplate, I took out the spring and plunger and cut some coils off the spring. I think the Magpul is all sealed in. It's a great looking/ergonomic stock though!! If you want a different h/g I finally tried the Magpul Slimline..............I may put this on another build, very comfy.
Stainless tends to be more accurate in the short term, plus the corrosion resistance over standard coatings. No necessarily why he chose it but they are some obvious benefits.
Brand is absolutely the most important, but all else being equal is where my statement holds true. A super awesome cold forged stainless barrel from psa is never going to be as good as say a noveske nitrided spr barrel. But if you got noveske's spr barrel in stainless instead of nitrided, theres a good chance youll have slightly better results.

Its a pain to open but not terrible, I haven't decided what I should store in in. It shouldn't be sealed in. The stock just fits over a standard A2 tube.
Which ammo and twist rate? My Wylde has a tight 1:7 twist so it needs heavy ammo; but my Bushmaster Varminter is sub MOA with 55 grains.
55s shoot like shit out of both my 1/8 twist guns when they are flat base,,,,they shoot 53g boat tails much better

It's Australian Outback .223. They use 55 gr Sierra Blitzking bullets with their proprietary powder. My AR is 1:7 twist and likes this load the best (out of what I've tried) for whatever reason, probably because Sierra makes good bullets.
