Need a daily knife

While I like benchmade I can not say anything good about their customer service. I had the same issue with the clip and I was worried about losing my $240 knife. I emailed their customer service and received no response, emailed again and no response. I commented 2-3 times on their twitter account and no response. I bought a titanium one off amazon for $25.00 and it’s way better than their provided clip.

I had a problem with my clip. It got caught on some construction fence while I was working and bent it out of shape. No fault of the design. I emailed Benchmade and 3 days later I had a new clip in the mail at no cost to me.

I’m going to buck the trend and say Victorinox SAK. Having a few other tools besides a knife is infinitely more useful. I like any of the models with scissors.

Irrespective of any other blade I'm carrying, it is virtually unthinkable to me to leave the house without my Leatherman Rav.

Less than $50, very light,slim and very durable for EDC use. Unassisted flipper with a standard bushing pivot yet it has a good action that becomes buttery smooth with use. Blade shape and size is perfect for EDC, steel is very good- Sandvik 14c28n. It is a Swedish razor steel and is very sharp and highly corosion resistant, wear resistanceis about average. and it feels good in the hand. Nothing fancy but just a simple and very practical knife. Its the kind of blade that will get you nods of approval from knife guys in the know.
I have Benchmades (fuck them anyways, anti gun fucks) Spyderco and some ZTs but the Skyline is what I carry the most these days. And its an American made model.
I like it better than the other value EDC gold standard, the Spyderco Delica. The Delica is also an excellent utility EDC, but more expensive than the Skyline.
