Benchmark is a great powder. I use it forthe .308 with light bullets ( 110 ) and it drives tacks. The stability of the powder over various temperatures is awesome. It consistantly gives me a very low standard deviation and extreme spread in velocity testing.
It doesn't matter what the weather is, if you want to come out Sunday. The 100 yard mark has a large roof covering 3 shooting benches. Rain isn't that big of a deal.
If I go for throttle therapy on Saturday, I'll call or text you well in advance and you can give me an address or meet me somewhere. I can just drop it in the mailbox or whatever if you're not home.
I'm going to have to go to a couple places and remove tome treestands and coyote huts myself. I bought a calf hutch ( like a big plastic doghouse ) and had it placed at one of the farms that got sold. It was really nice to hunt from. The new owner told me I could come get it. They wondered why it was out there. They are going to have horses and sheep.....and coyotes.
So I was invited to the range today by Tisto to work a few loads through the new build.
26gr Varmint Grenades were running 3950fps, these were reloads over 8208 XBR
The gun shoots 40gr very accurately and they ran about 3500fps, these were Hornady Super Performance manufactured ammo
Its time to kill some Coyotes!!! 2 more weeks till full out coyote mayhem and a new predator 2022-2023 thread.
We are going to have some good luck during our coyote party where Tisto, Shoots100 and I get together in December. Some killing and some fine dining at the local Churchville Grill. Thats a hint guys, you will have to get here an hour early on one of the 4 nights. Shoots100 doesnt have a choice though, he has to come early or has to just be here
Luckily for the group,,, there's two 204 AR's being used
You need two, so there's enough parts to make one useable rifle !
Can't wait to hunt with you guys, check those pimped out 204 rifles up close + personal.
With that new fangled AR, there might not be any coyote left to hunt in December !
