I intend to use it both day and night. I wear snow camo any time there is snow unless I know I will be perched in a hay loft or something. I see guys out at night in green camo and they stick out like a black bear against the snow. My thoughts are white against white no matter what the lighting situation is. When there is no snow, green, brown and black work just fine.

1st 204 is made from billet Seekin's upper, lower and handguard with a 20" Lilja 12 twist barrel.
2nd 204 was made with a forged upper, lower and a Odin O2 handguard, with a 18" X-Caliber carbon fiber 11 twist barrel. It also has a low mass bolt carrier.
There is a 2.2 lb difference between the 2 coyote killers. 1st 204 will now be dedicated to chucks though.
Both guns have SSA-E triggers in them.
Here is my finished product. Couple of the parts were painted with Dupli-Color anodizing paint. They turned out really well. Paint has a heat resistance of 500f.

It looks just ok to me. In my head, before finishing it, it looked better.
Everything was done perfectly on it and it is 2.2 lbs lighter than the other 204 but I put it together and I chose the color scheme and I painted a couple of parts,,,,, so it wont be perfect till I forget about it and start hunting with it.
I will be happy if she is laser beam accurate,,, which will make me forget about the way she looks
Oh,, I changed the stock already. Went back to the stock I had in the previous pic, the one without the barrel, in this thread.
Barrel is broke in per manufactures recommendations. I was shooting 26gr bullets, they are Barnes Varmint Grenades over 29.5gr of 8208 compressed.
She shoots like a laser but it was only at 50yds. It was almost the same hole through out all the cleaning and shooting.
She cycles beautifully.
Only thing I didnt get to do was measure velocity, it was getting dark.
Im guessing I will get about 4000fps with the 26's out of the 18" barrel, maybe slightly less. 24" barrel runs at 4300fps, per Hodgons data

Have you tired the 40 grain V max ?
26 Grain is good for chucks, but not really designed for the bigger varmints, especially at distance.

They klll yotes with 17hmr and 22lr. I'm sure I will have no problems switching from 32's to 26"s.
Haven't tried the 40's, I need to order a box. I think I may have some 39's that my other 20cal didn't like.
I've seen 32's drop deer in their tracks at 250 yds. I've seen 32's drop yotes at 500yds and even 600. This is all video documented and it was more than one time. Speed Kills

I remember having 2 boxes of 40's made by Fiocchi.
My Seekin's wouldn't shoot them, so I pulled all the bullets out of them so I could keep the brass.

Use whatever your rifle shoots the best, but I don't go out with anything under 35 grains in my 20 practical.
While speed does kill, a light jacketed projo made for vermin will blow up on impact, especially when hitting bone.
The heavier projos are made with thicker jackets for better penetration.
You can kill a deer with a sling shot, doesn't mean you should.
Either way, I'll be there to back you up with the .243 after your done blasting with the 204.

Though I do have roughly 750 Nosler Ballistic Tip 32gr Varmint bullets that I dont use if anyone is looking for any. Dont know why I dont use them, I must not of liked them. They are boat tails.
Have a bunch of 32gr Vmaxs and one box of Sierra 32gr and a 250 pill box of 26gr Barnes.
The Sierra 32gr bullets I liked and for whatever reason they always shot the fastest.
Ive been waiting for the Berger 35's, they never come in stock.
I don't reload the .204. I have a ton of once fired brass all saved up, but I still haven't bought dies. I bought 500 rounds of Hornady 40gr V-Max a year ago, since it shoots very well in both of my rifles. However, since almost everyplace I hunt is now open to hunting with larger than .20 caliber rifles while big game is open, I mostly use the .223 guns. Some day I'll find a set of dies and start messing around with it, but that's not currently the case.
I will probably be out on the therapist this Saturday, since riding season is coming to an end soon. I never really have a destination in mind for my therapy sessions, so if you wanted a box of shells, I could drop them off somewhere. You're going to want to try them out long before hunting season opens. Let me know. Otherwise, if you're up for a range day, you could meet me at my club in Corfu. We have a 100 yd covered range, as well as the ability to stretch it out to 300. I have a spotting scope and a LabRadar chronograph.

One of the places I have hunted for more than a decade told me I couldn't hunt there anymore because the asshole neighbor down the road called the cops and complained too much. This was the place where the neighbor and the farmer got in a big arguement and then someone took a shot in my direction last year.

LabRadar chronograph,,, nice!! I have the one that attaches to the end of your barrel, the Magnetospeed.
It works well but Im wondering if I will have issues on the new gun seeing how the muzzle end is much wider than the barrel. It might not align properly to read the bullets without getting hit by one.
If you ever want to sell me the brass you have acquired just let me know. Always seem to be low on brass because Im always loading up something new. Actually starting to get low on IMR 8208, my favorite 20 cal powder. I do have like 4lbs of Benchmark I could switch to though.
It would be fun to come and meet you out in Corfu. Let me see what day I could come up with and then see if you have the time. Between early deer season, the end of Sept goose season and my laundry machine I need to trouble shoot, plus going to Wellsville to pick up a Hunting shed that the land owner and I plan on putting on the back of a trailer so that its mobile ,,, Im spinning a little bit right now trying to do everything. Buying the shed from the Amish, the cost is less than what I would spend on lumber building it. Want it because I can heat it and sit out all day in comfort.
