New option for 'fixed mag' SAFE Act?

How about...keep your shit the way you have it and I'll keep mine the way I have it. I prefer the unmolested feel and look of a pistol grip AR with an adjustable stock and a muzzle brake. I hate the looks of those fucked up looking stocks. I use mine for hunting so I really dont care about being able to change out those mags and gunning a bunch of whatever down.

For the guy that wants to put a lawyer on speed dial,,,you are not being a dick,,,if you are getting a divorce, I dont blame you

Because I'd like the option to shoot at a range without being paranoid that someone is going to report me to Cuomo's Secret Police for a $500 snitch fee.

A discussion thread is where everyone lays out their opinions. If everyone agreed with just one point of view, it would be a lame thread where no one would learn anything.

To this day when I think I have my mind made up, someone will throw out a point where my view of something changes.

I was going fixed magazine at one point and decided not to after hearing someone post an opinion. I was an avid NRA supporter until I read someone's opinion. I was a .45 ACP fanboy until I read about the benefits of a speedier cartridge.

Don't get so bent out of shape.

There are guys out there who don't know that you can't clear a double feed with a fixed magazine. And there are guys who know that but aren't worried about it.

We can all learn from our opinions and experiences.

I like this option, I may order one after I look into their videos a bit. Goofy stocks are the best bet for some, fixed mags are better for others. How about we just leave it at personal preference. Much better to just ignore the bullshit law but I actually use my AR a lot where I can be seen so I have to make amends somewhere.
Lets face it, in a true SHTF scenario how long does anyone think it's going to take to go back to full function, even with a 'fixed' mag? I have to break one part to do that, with a spare mag release sitting idly by what difference does it make? Besides, more innovation that sticks a finger in Quomo's ass is always welcome!

To the what it comes with queries. On either their site or fb page (forget which) they mention the 39.99 kit comes with the speed loader, some feed lip device that goes on the action (maybe?), and an m-lok which I assume is a maglock as I dont know how a magpul m-lok component of any kind is relevant. I also saw something about 29.95/9 idk if that means they'll sell extra loaders for that or if that's some kind of maglock-less kit for those on the armaglock train

Per their Facebook page , in a post dated 22 Feb, it states that for $40 you get the loader only.
Does not include the mag lock or feed ramp.
$40 is a bit much for what it is, but it seems a lot better than opening the action to hand feed rounds .

The text goes on to say that they also tested it in "exotic" upper receivers and it worked fine other than a couple of them did not release the bolt automatically when the loader was removed.

I preordered 1 the other day to try it out. So, I contacted the company today and asked about whether 300blk would work in the 5.56 loader. Really quick response time. Here is what I got:

"While the bullets are similar the shell shape is different. The 5.56 MA Loader does partially function with 300BLK. Because of a few issues we have seen we are going to be coming out with a specific 300BLK version of the MA Loader. When your MA Loader arrives give it a try in your specific 300BLK rifle and let us know your results.

Thanks for your support and order"

The one problem I have found with the maglock is that if you have a double feed situation or any type of jam that keeps the bolt from full battery, you can't just pull the pin and pivot the upper. I won't install one until I have fully function tested my build, adjusted the gas, and tested a variety of magazines to make sure all is well. That being said, I did use one on my 6.5 Grendel that I took hunting last fall.

I've got a P-mag in mine so it comes apart really easy. When I'm done hunting I hold it upside down and pull the bottom plate and dump the rounds into my hand or pocket. Works out ok.
