Independent of the gun aspect of it, I’ve been to a few gun shows and the Nazi stuff bugged me too. Who leaves their house and thinks, ya know what, I want a giant Nazi flag and a hitter youth knife. Why is this a good thing that was allowed to keep going on at our shows? Why didn’t the patrons make a bigger stink about kicking them out?
Because censoring the past means forgetting the past which in turn means repeating the past. Avoiding this fate requires not turning away from the uncomfortable aspects of history but confronting it head on and remembering and learning from it.
Avoiding "uncomfortable" realities is a disturbing and despicable theme in modern society.

This is not a museum, this is some old racist at a table hoping to indoctrinate a new generation. Who wants to own Hitler memorabilia at this point in time? I don’t mean books or informational stuff, but giant nazi flags that you can hang up in your home. Who wants this vile stuff so much that they should have it at every show? Why don’t they get their own show instead of assuming that people exercising the rights of a country that stomped out Naziism, would be interested in their sewage?
The whole world is museum. I am deeply suspect of the motivations of those who seek to sanitize history. Just because you wouldn't want a nazi flag doesn't mean someone can't have a legitimate reason for wanting to aquire one, perhaps its for a historical display? Such items are historical artifacts and its important to preserve them. If there is one thing I can't stand is the current trend of obliterating and erasing history because of bullshit PC feelings nonsense. Take the dismantlement of confederate monuments, every piece of the past destroyed pushes us one more step down the path of repeating the cycle. If you hate nazi flags so much maybe you should park yourself im front of one and reflect on why it so reviled a symbol, you gain nothing from burying that past. Its dishonest and shortsighted. Besides what gunshows are you going to that you see all this nazi stuff anyway? The ones I go to the only nazi stuff I see is the occasional Mauser rifle. On that note do you think the nazi markings of original K98s should be ground off too?

You know who wants a swastika flag? The grandchildren of the men whose blood was spilled so that flag can hang on a wall and not fly over Berlin to this day. The gun and militaria shows are not old racists trying to indoctrinate new nazis. You sound a little unhinged saying something like that. A few of the militaria guys I know are veterans. I guess they are nazis too because they sell stuff with swastikas. But, they also sell imperial Japanese stuff too. Can the old racist at the table be an imperialist Nazi? The bigger question is "WHO" are you, or anyone else, to decide what is acceptable to someone else? Who gives a shit? It's a person's "RIGHT" to do as they please, and if that means hanging a Nazi Flag in their closet and sticking a Hitler Youth knife up their ass, what's it to you?
The simplicity of people's propensity to think they are superior to others and must chose the righteous path for them is astounding! If my post seems offensive to you, it was intended to be so and not a mistake! And if you don't, or can't appreciate the "INTENT" of my speech and the freedom to do so, and all of what that means and entails, then you have no ability to decipher why those items being for sale, while grotesque to some, cherished by others, are nothing more than items, symbols, that represent absolutely nothing, other than what people want to make of them, by defining them to suit their ideals of agendas. As such, any form of restriction, censorship of banning them, is an attempt to shape thought and mold behavior. It is the most offensive form of Gov't and should be as repulsive as those symbols themselves. Want to know why they're for sale? Because some idiot would buy them... And what's the problem with that? Does it scare you? What are you so afraid of that you think it should be controlled? Shall we remove any and all references to Nazi Germany to prevent any future idol worship? Shall all history be scrubbed clean of contemporary repulsion, knee jerk reaction and political correctness?
I couldn't give a shit what they sell, because you can do what you want, think what you want, say what you want, live as you want... Do anything you want to do to float your boat... Right up to the point where you think "You" need to tell me how "I" should be doing those same things! That goes 3X when it's the Gov't telling me!
Next it will be Religion, or Education, sexual preference, identity, etc., etc...

when i was in the boy scouts back in the 70's .. at a week long camp we flew the USA flag and the Confederate one too .. of coarse we did it wrong on purpose just to have fun .. hay please fix that was all we were told .. so we did it wrong again . LOL .. and again and again .. everyone had a good laugh for the week and we met lots of other scouts and hung out and had fun ..
even did the Confederate flag thing when i was in the NAVY in Charleston SC , 84ish to 85ish .. at the pub on the naval base dancing ... got talked to a few times and still were allowed to do it

The ones I've been to, the tables are filled with newly made Nazi stuff. This isn't stuff from back then, this is a Zippo lighter made in China with a swastika on it. A 2 second search of the internet shows endless forum threads of people with the same concerns, seeing the same stuff. Do I care that this stuff is available in general, no, it's a free country. Do I care that it's at our gun show that has nothing to do with Nazis, yes. Why isn't there a Nazi booth at the reptile show or the chocolate expo? Nazis made some damn good chocolate.

So since you Westchesterner's don't/can't have a say in how county property can be used, will you be credited a proportional amount in your property taxes? 
Looks like it is time for the residents of Westchester County to step up and start going to the meetings. You guys need to go and make noise about this. These a County owned buildings; that means they are owned by the People. The residents of that County own everything. Demand that he has a fair and equal playing field!!!

I doubt the guy complaining about the Nazi stuff would know new from old. Hell, many collectors can't even tell and buy some awful fakes. If there are active "neo nazis" at a gun show then you are derelict for not reporting them. If it is an old man selling world War two memorabilia and you tell the powers that be he is a neo Nazis, I am sure they will politely listen to you at least.

Part of the problem is that they can claim that they are really trying to get rid of the Nazi and confederate stuff, not the guns. If the gun shows just laid down he law and said no Nazi/Confederate shit at my show, it would be an easier sell for these legislators.
Also, for what it’s worth, the County Center gun show was no prize. Overpriced, no good vendors, too much Nazi stuff.

Weird Nazi shit aside, these are people who are hell bent on controlling others. They want to take away your right to the second amendment -- period. Since doing it outright would cause an uproar, they just make it tremendously difficult to exercise the right.
Completely correct. And the organizers of the show, in their quest to make money, have given them a gold plated reason to cancel gun shows and claim that it is because they are selling Nazi stuff. And the organizers do it for a few extra dollars for a table rental.

I want a Nazi flag!!!!! Why you ask, well. Because I have one.
My grandfather was on the uss Missouri when the Japs came onboard and surrendered. He is one of the few that bought a yearbook of his time on that ship and we have it. He also brought home a giant real Nazi flag in mint condition which we have.
If you think this kind of memoribelia is "indoctrination" and shouldn't be allowed then you my friend have some issues.
