Well here we are Post Bruen ruling and last friday (July 8th 2022) the first lawsuit against NY was filed.

Lewis V James, this has to do with the SAFE Acts "Assault Weapons Ban"

L v. J was officially filed in the wester district of NY (Buffalo) and we now know what judge will be hearing the case. Judge John L Sinatra, a Trump appointed Judge.

Going to backfire on them.

That means every machine shop in the state is going to have to have an FFL now.

They're going to have 10x as many gun manufacturers now :)


Also, what about non-cnc machines ? It's not like you *need* a CNC to make a gun.

Utah Judge Blocks State's Sweeping New Abortion Ban​


Judge Andrew Stone of the Third Judicial District Court for Salt Lake City ruled at a hearing that the ban, which prohibited abortion at any point during pregnancy with a handful of exceptions, must remain on hold while Planned Parenthood pursues a legal challenge.​

"When you're talking about a seismic change in women's health treatment, it's prudent to look before you leap," Stone said.​

So, "rights" not specified in the constitution cannot be altered quickly and without "prudence."

What if the article was about a "Sweeping New Firearms Carry Ban?" Would we ever see: "When you're talking about a seismic change in second amendment constutional rights, it's prudent to look before you leap."

The permit system will stop issuing new permits? Maybe.
The old permits are still valid as long as the application to renew has been submitted and awaiting a decision.

As screwed up as they are, they can't just not issue permits..a few peeps in nyc were told to renew premise same way as before so far they took cc payments, so we will see I guess.

I work for a living and I come on here to check out all NY 2A related stuff, and holy cow, it's like I missed 2 weeks of crap in 10 hours... a congressman almost gets stabbed to death, to FUKH is doing some other crap to limit the 2A, to Biden licking two ice cream cones and needing a diaper changing.........

If anything, I forsee what a few folks have said, higher chance of civil unrest and police/towns/cities not enforcing tyrannical laws in their jurisdictions.

I have a feeling that come this fall, this country is going to be in a shit show more than it's ever been. Not to be too much of an off-edge conspiracy theorist, but this could leave our pants down for another country(s) to do something to us.

So now lawsuits are needed in every state where unconstitutional laws have been enacted? This is going to take awhile.

Of note, the Colorado law used the New York SAFE Act one-evil-feature description of "assault weapons" to be banned.
