There is nothing "serious" about NYS residents advocating ignoring their responsibilities as law abiding citizens and letting a criminal off the hook because they don't like the law.
If I toss some sarcasm their way, that's what they deserve for advocating disobediance of the law.
I was schooled in NY, K through 18 and I never heard any educator say that if we New Yorkers didn't like some law we could just ignore it.
There are ways to change laws. Once we stop doing it the right way, we devolve into mob rule and anarchy.
If/when you disobey black letter law, are indicted and tried you best hope I'm not on the jury because I will vote guilty.
If you have some REAL extenuating circumstances the judge can modify the worst case sentence down to a slap on the wrist.
That's how the law works.

Very nice of you to teach me how "the law" works. Also, nice to know that you wouldn't think twice about voting guilty for an otherwise law abiding gun owner that had more than 10 rounds in their magazine. Says a lot. The way the UnSafe Act was rammed down our throats as well as how Cuomo threatened those with their constituents funds for not voting for it falls under "extenuating circumstances." This law is so ambiguous that it doesn't even come close to being black letter. Sarcasm is one thing, being condescending is another. Now, back to your responsibilities as a law abiding citizen. I prefer to look at the responsibilities of the political hacks who are supposed to represent me and uphold the constitution instead of following along willingly with the infringement.

If this is what you actually believe I have good news for you. My time machine is almost complete and will give you the first ride in it. You can go back and Rosa Parks to sit in the back of the Fucking bus. What your not accepting in your agreement is a civil rights violation is a civil rights violation. Us not being able to use common/modern firearms to adequately defend ones self and family against threats is probably the most personal civil rights violation there is. Because I live in the state of my birth I am no longer allowed to use the same weaponry to protect my family that I used to protect this great country. Do you see a problem with this? The message of necessity was used, the reps had less than an hour to read and digest 87 pages of the bill and I know for a fact from one politician that voted no, Cuomo told those who voted no would lose funding in their area. Oh yeah, and then Diaz said the law would not do ANYTHING to reduce crime but he was going to vote yes anyway. Yeah, no ramming there. Your argument comparing this unconstitutional law to Jewish people getting murdered is a straw man argument. Not even close to being similar. BTW, I am more scared of the gun owners who are quick to follow the UnSafe Act than those gun owners that would be quick to not pay much attention to it.

You may work through your represenatives and the courts to change it.

BTW the M-16 I defended with had a full auto selector which I could own had I the wish in my free state homes.
That too is illegal in NY ...... lots on your plate to ignore/remedy !

The refugee ban that literally affected nobody in the country had 3 federal injunctions against it in a month, despite being clearly within the power of the president. SAFE OTOH was allowed to infringe on the rights of millions despite having both no realistic benefit, and clearly violating the constitution and established precedent was allowed to sail through with barely no resistance.
