I believe that he can only take possession from a NYC LGS which would not sell a non-compliant rifle to a NYC resident, And other NYS LGS will not sell to someone with a NYC address.

When I picked up my scr yesterday I was talking with one of the guys at the store and I asked why there wasn’t one site where I could get a thorough list of what’s legal and he said that the gun laws are in place to be ambiguous. Take from that what you will.

Are you also a member of the Long Island Gun Club Forum? The Island ranges may be the closest for you. My Club just north of Saratoga Springs has open membership but that would be about 3.5 to 4 hours away for you.
