So most of us woke up this morning to find we lost a pile of previously held rights. Fun times!
I have friends with prior DUI's scratching their heads this morning wondering if their permit will now be revoked and an MRAP crashed through their house to take all their long guns they will no longer be eligible to own.
3 years? 5 years? 3 years, if less than one year, but only after the solar eclipse? Classes? Who the fuck knows!
Sensitive places? So pretty much everywhere other than in your home. Fabulous.

It seems the only class of people that actually have rights in this state are criminals, which we are destined to become. Criminals dont follow laws, because they are criminals. If carrying in this state means one is a felon then why stop there, one or 5 whats the difference?

Anyone need STL's for G17 33 clipazines or giggle switches? Printers are cheap now, everyone should have one for knicknacks and such.

Shouldn’t need any more legal challenges for sensitive locations that make 90% of the state illegal to carry. It is addressed last week with the current ruling.

An emergency injunction needs to be filed. The DOJ needs to investigate and arrest Hochul for blatant disregard and contempt of US Supreme Court.

This law as it stands is 100% illegal. Sensitive locations and their over use are mentioned very specifically in the ruling.

Posting these links so it doesn't seem like my comments have no context.

Several years ago when they passed the 5 year recert for "life time" handgun licenses, caterwauling on the old forum prompted me to suggest that maybe everyone should stop being so servile and refuse to do the recert. The caterwauling got worse and everyone had their excuse as to why they had to keep a firm grip on their permission slip from NY so they could keep exercising their privilege.

I have repeatedly maintained since UnSafe that NY will never stop until guns are defacto banned in this state or so hard to obtain that its not worth jumping through the hoops, and that bending over for UnSafe and the 5 year recert was nothing more than a signal to Albany and NYC to PUSH HARDER, confirming to them the hand of weakness that gun owners in this stithole have shown for decades upon decades.

This is blantant Tyranny, and yet what we get are pages and pages of the same bullshit we had when UnSafe was enacted and later the 5 year recert.

"What does it mean?"

"How can I comply"

"How much will this cost me now?"

"Glad I deleted all of my social media!"

"Are there any loopholes we can exploit?"

I’m not. No one else interprets it that way. They then go on to explain where those areas are and roadways aren’t on them. Even if your interpretation is correct then why does it say you can have them in your car under your direct supervision or they need to be locked in a safe? Also if your interpretation is correct this will get tossed in a heartbeat because that would restrict carrying to your home and the SC specifically states you have the right to carry outside your home with a permit.

SC just specifically stated you cannot over use sensitive areas. And now 99% of the state is sensitive outside of private homes. So apparently what they say does not matter.

I just copied and pasted what it says. You can interpret it however you want but that is exactly what it says. I have seen hairs split here over very vague language. This isn’t.

I understand why you think that and maybe that’s how it will get interpreted, but again if that’s what it means or doesn’t the sensitive areas is being abused and over used. It will get tossed one way or another.

That's actually not true, it needs to be locked if left in a vehicle not just transported. I'm all for Fudds getting hammered though. If you're not in the fight, you're against us. I know too many gun owners, many personal friends, that only hunt and pistol permit "stuff", Ar "stuff" doesn't apply to them so they don't care. When they have to get a special permission slip to buy a 10/22 for their kid they might start caring a little bit.
