You might be setting the bar kind of high.
I have nothing positive to add.
Not one group has stood up for gun owners in NY State in a very, very long time. They all watched, eating popcorn, when the SAFE Act was passed.
They all sit back and watch, year after year, our Rights be destroyed in NY.
The nicest way for me to say anything is , all of these Pro-gun groups can piss off.
I do welcome honest dialog, maybe after reading what real gun owners think, and not just a bunch of camo wearing shotgun owners have to say, maybe these groups can actually help the fight.

... and to think that I *almost* joined when I first got my CCW permit. The turnoff for me joining (among others) was the sparse articles, generic info and dated materials on their website. Just another group riding the $$$ on the fear and greed of the fearful populations.
So, did you end up joining another Organization?
You're right about the Web site and to a degree the magazine, but in their defense all but the aforementioned Executive Directors position, all are voluntary and it's up to Board Members and other volunteers to write articles and supply information.
Members can submit articles, Press releases, ads, etc.
Even if it's not NYSRPA, you should support and organization with the same goals: Preserving our 2A Rights and Promoting the Safe enjoyment of gun ownership.

A positive ruling over NYC would overlap across the State. NYC is and has been discriminatory, even to the point of refusing to honor the Licenses of other NY State residents.

What these lawsuits to succeed need is a bunch of PC BS.
We need some low income inner city (but honest and law abiding) plaintiffs to argue that the existing permit system is inherently racist and designed to keep guns away from poor and minorities (which it is).
That is the 900lb gorilla in the room that nobody will acknowledge.
The existing arguments about its unconstitutionality are entirely valid, and entirely useless in a judiciary that is more concerned with wokeness than law.
