Honestly I think it’s more likely that she had a few before coming home than this being domestic. It’s just too strange of a story to be taken at initial face value.

Depending on where she consumed potential alcohol, that could be a problem. Texas forbids taking a firearm into an establishment that serves alcohol (a bar). That may or may not cover LEO, but considering she was off duty I don't see why it wouldn't.
