I really wish people would just report the post and then ignore the offending post or person. There are hundreds and hundreds of posts per day. We can't see them all as soon as they are posted. The name calling and crap that goes on here is ridiculous. We, as an admin team, put this place together for people to have a good time at. We didn't put it together for people to be racist. We didn't put our time, effort, and MONEY to create a place so people could challenge each other to fight. Grow up.
Disagreements are fine. There is absolutely no reason why people can't behave in a civil manner. We give people very wide latitude here to post pretty much whatever they want. We rarely ban people or edit posts. That was one of the very first things that the admin team talked about before this place even got off the ground. We thought people are responsible enough to behave like adults. Apparently, we were wrong. Do you want us to implement stricter post requirements? We can have swear filters, start wielding a ban hammer quicker and more often. We can get a few more moderators on staff and take the heavy handed approach. I don't think that's something the community wants, and we don't want to have to do it either.
I don't think asking people to behave civilly towards each other is too much to ask.

What is the source for that regulation? I don't think the presence of a scope has anything to do with whether or not open carry of a handgun is allowed.
I'm pretty sure you can open carry when afield on public land (unless carrying is specifically forbidden for that area). Hunters, trackers, and campers open carry all the time in the big woods of the ADK's and Tug Hill. As well, I'm pretty sure you're allowed by law to open carry hand gun in private land (obviously) and in public (unless going into an area where carrying is specifically forbidden). Now it might be legal, but you also might get a lot more attention and cautious interaction from LE if you do open carry in public spaces.

Anyway the other day I open carried my Rossi 971, 357 magnum revolve all day. From when I got up until I got ready for bed with many stops in between.
I went to Fred Myers department store, ace hardware store, Wal-Mart, 7/11 (anti-gun establishment), Costal Farm Store, a lock shop, mc donalds, and then to the Safeway store.
Not one comment from anyone.
I open carry a few times a month, just so people see guns once in a while. Even when I stop in at the bank they don't say nothing, one teller there said she feels safer when I go there.
So tell me is the troll still here? I'm not going to read all of the trash name calling to find out.

The little guy likes shooting coke cans full of water with my 327 Fedetal Magnum GP100 loaded with either 32 shorts or 32 long ammo.
Haven"t had him try out 32 H&R Magnum or the 327 Federal Magnum yet.
He loads what ever gun he may be shooting and can hit better then most adults I shoot with.

I have went out for breakfast at a couple of different resturaunts and had cops come in at the same time, some give you a compliment on the gun I am open carrying at the time.
I never had a problem open carrying here in Washington State or in Pennsylvania.
I feel comfortable open carrying, I also have my Smith 642 on me as well just in case some shit goes off.

1. You cannot have a handgun w/o a permit.
2. If endorsed for carry, the permit is for CC only.
Hunters are generally given a pass, but are still technically in violation.
The best way to be the first person shot by a criminal is to have a gun in plain view.
Last time I looked Washington was well on the way (along with OR) to becoming Kalifornia Norte'.

Open carriers are attention whores. There is absolutely no tactical advantage in doing so in public confined spaces. If it were the case, Air Marshals would open carry.
