WHERE did you dig that one up?
Wilson Combat and Noveske .are some very nice stuff but I don't think they are worth the premium price........... for a practical carbine. WC has a lot of different caliber options, some of which are somewhat obscure, and their offerings could make for a great high end hunting option.Wilson Combat, Noveske, Daniel Defense, Aero Precision, Centurion, are just a few that can be had for your budget and are high quality.
Well truthfully Pod, I keep thinking about that Centurion Arms CM4 LightweightWilson Combat and Noveske .are some very nice stuff but I don't think they are worth the premium price........... for a practical carbine. For a high dollar AR I really favor LMT for their unique monolithic upper, thoroughly ambidextrous controls and their novel quick change barrel setup on the MARS models in addition to a host of mechanical improvements/enhancements to some of tge internal parts. I think LMT is one of the very few ultra high end manufacturers that earn their top shelf pricing. Even Knight's Armament doesn't really do anything different other than a few sundry product improvements.
@SmallGameAddict FNH itself is also a source for high quality, dependable ARs.
As well you should, I really see no reason to spend anymore than the considerable cost the CM4 represents. Again however tge big caveat is availability. Centurion Arms is a small company and their production is as high as some of tge others. Given an equal price I think Daniel Defense and Centurion Arms are at total parity with each other in their segment (high end standard spec duty carbines) FNH is also solid but they run the Midwest Industries handguards which while perfectly good are a bit heavier than the DD or CA products.Well truthfully Pod, I keep thinking about that Centurion Arms CM4 Lightweight
Yeah, I'm hoping the availability situation improves by Spring or Summer. Wife is 100% on board and loves it.As well you should, I really see no reason to spend anymore than the considerable cost the CM4 represents. Again however tge big caveat is availability. I told her $1495 for the RIFLE. I can then nickel dime her to death at will with accessories. Also, when considering your budget, remember to set some money aside for 10 additional magazines, a quality red dot and a quality weapon light, that all adds up very quickly, in fact all these on top of that CM4 will have you right up against or even beyond your stated maximum budget.
Also you'll want a good quick adjust 2 point sling.
Sounds like you better be careful with your wife, you come home with your shiny new AR one day and she might ask you where yours is.I told her $1495 for the RIFLE. I can then nickel dime her to death at will with accessories.
Since purchasing herself a stainless Ruger Mini Thirty a couple years ago (on my recommendation to her as a woods deer rifle/home defense combo), she feels empowered and is def born again hard.Sounds like you better be careful with your wife, you come home with your shiny new AR one day and she might ask you where yours is.
Long distance is the next best thing to being there.
It’s great spending other people’s money isn’t it?
There are many many choices now a days when comes to AR's. The CR6920 should be an $800 rifle, max. It's quality so far as I can tell, but this isn't the 90's anymore and Colt's TDP is pretty much industry standard with many companies going beyond it.Tell you the truth boys, I'd love to have that rifle, less the Vortex scope.
Other financial priorities now other than $5.5k on a rifle. Maybe some day. Might mention it just to see her expression.
I fell like $5,500 is just totally unneeded and out of the ballpark. I fell like once you get past a certain point you just don’t get much gain. What’s the difference between a $3,000 rifle and a $5,500 rifle? Can’t be that significant. Maybe I’m wrong.Tell you the truth boys, I'd love to have that rifle, less the Vortex scope.

Pretty sure her look said not at this time. Or next time.
