Maybe the birds around here will post the dealers that were raided for selling non compliant guns. Probably not though. They like to talk about them but only when it fits the current narrative.
Just because a dealer sells something doesn’t mean they should have. (See above mentioned raids)

All please keep the personal attacks out of the thread. The current law is so vague on what can be considered compliant only a court case will be able to settle it. Until then what is compliant/ noncompliant is all opinion and conjecture.

Ok tried it out today,not particularly impressed with the way it opens with a red dot on it,it seemed to just pop right open perfect without the optic but it is a new tight gun.
I have decided to go featureless and just ordered spur,ny triggerguard hook and a faux muzzle break without the slots milled all the way through.
I may revisit the mag lock in the future but given the functionality issue and very gray legality it is getting shelved for now.

I HAVE my own property to shoot on, and NOBODY can see or find me there. That said, my drive to it is the issue. I have to make sure they are safe act compliant in my trunk on the way there. Once there, on my land, the safe act has no jurisdiction.

I would think that if the gun is disassembled and the lower is separated from the upper, that alone would make t compliant. Then all it would be was gun parts.
I agree with this but I bet they would use an assumptive possession angle to charge you. If you possess both you are capable of putting them together to have a banned rifle. I think it would be an easy conviction.

Wait.... isn't the lower considered the "gun"?
Maybe you should lock the lower in the trunk and keep the upper in a backpack.

I realize this is a 2 1/2 year old thread, and this topic has been one of much debate, pain, and suffering, but....................
I've used the Price 50, SAFE Mod, and recently the Cross Armory lock. Of those, the Cross Armory is a little harder to remove and would probably show more in the way of trying to "comply" than the others. It completely removes the mag release button. None of the three will allow the mag to be removed without tools, like some others that will release the mag if the rifle is broke open, which would be a big no. The thing I don't like with the Cross Armory is if you do get a double feed or jam, it's a huge PITA to clear the rifle. If possible, you can try removing the floor plate on the mag, but in certain magazines that's seriously hard to do. A 350 Legend specific 5 round mag as an example- it's too short to be able to get the plate off, the grip gets in the way.
As mentioned, it's all how you feel and your comfort zone. I use my rifles to hunt, so they need to be in compliance. I don't like it, but it's NY and I don't want to be a guinea pig for the system.
My wife and I used to go to an indoor range and neither the Prince 50 or the SAFE Mod got a second glance really. There was a range watcher, who did try to be slick on one occasion. I had the rifle laying on the bench, and he walked over, stating he used the same lock while reaching out to push on the release button to make sure it wasn't functional. I started at him blankly for a second. Then I just burst out a little laugh, I couldn't hold it in.

I'm betting there's a lot more to that story than we are getting. I can't find an actual link to this arrest aside from those who have seen the blotter on Facebook.
So what do you do? Keep your MSR's hidden under the floorboards or locked up in a safe? Why don't you enlighten the state of NY what your solution is? Not move, or don't comply, enlighten us with your all-knowing wisdom what the best way to fix the mag in place is.

Old, I hunt with a 350 legend occasionally. I use a ten round magazine withe the round blocker shown.
It will hold three and one in the chamber. The floor plate is easily removed in the case of some kind of a malfunction. I can't remember where I got it, seems like it was for a .556, Goggle should get you there right quick, I just put the .350 follower on it and it works like a champ.

Hahaha, well, there's no way on earth any LE gets to inspect a firearm for the purpose of compliance outside a warrant!!! There is no "gut" or "hunch" allowance for such a grievous search! Let alone a range officer, I'm sorry, you're not reaching over and touching my firearm without expressed permission! Fuck you very much!

Most people don't have any issues. That range guy was overly nice the next time we went in there, so much so I got a free box of ammo. I think he knew he messed up.
I really don't think most people are going to have issues unless they are asking for it. Maybe in certain areas of the state where anti's and the average fudd are more dominant. Keep a tidy ship and no reason for the coast guard to want to board the vessel.

Not to muddy up or derail the thread, but did you have feeding issues? I ruined a perfectly good PMag that wouldn't feed right and went by something I read on the web about filing off the ribs, and it still had issues. Bought a 5 round a steel mag specific for the 350 and so far only a couple problems in the beginning, but they seem (seem) to have gone away with some use.
