That gets dicey. You have the humanitarian point of view that says "no." Then there's the legal (and sometimes Machiavellian) perspective that illegal immigrants shouldn't be here to begin with and they should get no protection under the law since their very presence in this country is operating outside of the legal system.But, then someone else's natural rights are being taken away (over a non-violent felony). Should other natural rights like freedom of religion and privacy (unreasonable search and seizure) be denied to illegal aliens as well?
