So in other words you are "somewhat" ok with a police state even though your friend was completely violated, and most likely did not even deserve the "did not signal fast enough" lane change ticket.

I am not ok with any of it.

No, but gun violence has been the most damaging factor to our rights to be armed. Every time some idiot kills another with an illegal gun or even a legal gun there is a push to ban more and more types of guns and accessories. The more gun violence is kept out the news the better for us who wish to exercise our 2and amendment rights...

That argument is kind of saying that for the greater good rights should be violated. The liberals use that argument to ban guns. It’s also being used to search vehicles.

Me personally, I would take whatever collateral damage or few crimes committed that may happen if illegal searches at car stops aren’t conducted just the same as I and I’m sure many here would rather take If illegal searches weren’t conducted on pedestrians. Imagine a world where you are walking down the street and a cop demands your papers and searches you just to prevent a criminal from committing a crime? Why is being in a car any different?

Not at all, in this instance the guns were not legally possessed. And each time some idiot with a gun commits a crime, kills someone. Those who wish to see our 2nd Amendment completely stripped away have ammunition to go to Albany and Washington to put more restrictions on our rights. In this instance alone I had mixed feelings because the guns weren't legally possessed by the pair... This could have been another log for the fire for the liberals and anti gun lobby. The longer we have gun violence out of the news the better... I am by no means a supporter of a police state or illegal searches and seizures.

Except the gun should have been legally possessed. Just like they can legally possess a knife. If they commit a crime with a knife, then get them for committing a crime with a knife. Why is a gun any different?
