I have to say I have mixed feelings here, laws are supposed to protect us from harm, profiling or BS excuses to violate your constitutional rights is far too common, I think that's what the majority of the defenders are trying to get at... I've never been arrested or pulled over and searched without due cause. But I have been in the car with friends and seen first hand how the government agents treat people who are guilty of no more than not signaling 2 seconds before switching lanes. To the oh so familiar "you got anything in the car I should know about". "No? You sure??? Because I'm gonna call K9 and if they hit on the car ima search it and find it!" "Ok we will wait for K9... "the dog alerted on the car so we are going to search your vehicle". To not find anything, then get 3 tickets instead of 1 because the LEO was wrong and needed to save face by punishing my friend for not having anything illegal. On the other hand, that LEO could have stopped a potentially fatal situation. Based on his skills to determine behavior and tells that lead him to believe a search was in order...
