So a good chance they did not have a pistol permit of any kind.I would imagine the guy from Delaware did not have one.
The passenger, Jaquan C. Gilbert is only 19, so I would guess no as well.

What sounds more evil for the press ?
9mm Luger or 9mm Parabellum
charged for loaded firearm "other than home or business".
You’re not part of the jury or the defense. Why would you be entitled to that info?
And if you say no, they bring in a K9, say the dog alerted and search anyway. If they don't find anything, you get the "could have been something in there at some point, and the dog alerted to that". I believe that most traffic stop alerts with K9 are fraudulent, but they are used so you, who are not a trained dog handler, cannot contest the search. The dog alerted and that's that......
Best bet if you are involved in illegal foolishness, don't drive around like you are untouchable.
It's the government's job to keep the public's confidence.Go to the trial then. Put in the work. They are public.
If neither occupant was in direct possession both take the charge. Unless someone owns up to it. By your logic, someone could stash guns, drugs in a common area of the vehicle and drive around with absolute immunity because neither could be charged. So now you can charge multiple people for a single gun in a car ... Seems to me one of the 2 has might have an unlawfully arrested.
I already don't trust the government. I'm not going to waste my time looking into other people's court cases just to prove I'm right. Honestly that's what the news media is *supposed* to be doing, but most people don't trust them either anymore.Sorry, but most evidence held by the government to be used at trial is not, never has been, and never will be released publicly.
The requirement you demand is met by court proceedings being public events. This is why there is a high burden to meet to request a judge declare a courtroom closed.
You just don’t want to put in the work.
Just pointing out facts....
I know, facts are frowned upon on this forum.

If you want everyone else to feel that way too, by all means, continue with business as usual.
There are only 2 ways a government maintains power, and that is respect or fear. Traditionally the public in the US has respected the government. That is rapidly failing.
Do you *want* to live in a country where the government rules by fear ?
I'm not asking you to spoon feed me anything. This all sounds very John Stark-ish.
Let’s stay on track. You want to know what probable cause the People have against the skells. You want it handed to you instead of going to their trial, as the law has ALWAYS afforded you the right to do. You don’t trust the government because they aren’t spoonfeeding you info that you want even though it is available to you by other means.
I’m sorry, but I’ve no interest in bending over backwards to change someone’s mind, especially when the info they want IS available to them already.
I'd be beyond pissed off if any K9 jumped up my black truck especially when you see the officer command or tap the doors to get a reaction from the dog.. Someone (not me ) is paying for all the scratches when they find zero. And if you say no, they bring in a K9, say the dog alerted and search anyway
I have wondered that too, letting their dog jump all over your vehicle. Touch a police cruiser and see what happens. I know, I had that experience with a trooper.I'd be beyond pissed off if any K9 jumped up my black truck especially when you see the officer command or tap the doors to get a reaction from the dog.. If no one takes the rap, NYS allows all of the the occupants in the vehicle take the rapSo now you can charge multiple people for a single gun in a car ... Seems to me one of the 2 has might have an unlawfully arrested.

Nothing shits all over innocent until proven guilty faster than that old farce. If no one takes the rap, NYS allows all of the the occupants in the vehicle take the rap
Nobody has been proven guilty. They have simply been accused of a crime for which evidence exists. They will probably wise up when push comes to shove. The truth will set you (or your friend) free. Using your argument people could just drive around with a pickup bed filled with fentanyl with immunity because neither the driver or passenger could be charged. It defies logic.Nothing shits all over innocent until proven guilty faster than that old farce.
You aren't incriminating yourself by saying its your buddy's gun. Also it doesn't really matter who owned the gun, what's important is who possessed it. In this case it must have been in a common area where they both had access to it. You have to give law enforcement room to operate and do their jobs. Otherwise we would be a nation of lawlessness because criminals would exploit it.Which is unconstitutional ... you have a right to remain silent and have a right not to self incriminate, and its the states burden to prove its someones gun. But hey what do i know, i didn't go to law school or the police academy to learn how to disregard the constitution.
I agree with you.Nothing shits all over innocent until proven guilty faster than that old farce.
Oh no! The boys with the purple power ties arrested some more "innocents"! Please spare me the Bullshit! Stupid one and stupid two had a semi auto rifle with a pistol grip or a bolt action rifle that is now illegal or a black powder revolver or a knife or a bow and arrow or a magazine that contains more than 4 rounds that they shouldn't have. (Not saying constitutionally shouldn't have, but under the laws of New York.) Like it or not some just don't play by the rules.Oh no! That's NY government for you. Not playing by the rules.Like it or not some just don't play by the rules.
Yea that or don't be driving around with illegal weapons in the car while also breaking V&T laws. Also a great time to re-evaluate who your "friends" are and the type of people you hang out with. That's NY government for you. Not playing by the rules.
It's a shame when innocent people's lives get destroyed because of it.
Everyone that aided and abetted this injustice should be ashamed.
Better advice, don't go driving around at all in a state that violates your rights and the constitution.Yea that or don't be driving around with illegal weapons in the car while also breaking V&T laws. Also a great time to re-evaluate who your "friends" are and the type of people you hang out with.
