Don't live there so I have no dog in the fight... But I have friends nearby, and there definitely "are" 2 sets of rules, one for the Hassidic Community, and one for all others.

This shit happens a lot, want to discuss black on white crime? What if whites did the same? Or Blacks do it as the Panthers did in the 60's? So don't say there's no "special" dispensation made.

Lawful to possess long gun, loaded, in public! Yes... Lawful to be stopped and inspected for the purpose of determining legality (Mag Limit), nope! Does that prevent the action when there's a concern for public safety? Nope...

There are separate rules for firearms in vehicles, know the difference.

Yes, Good for them, for the most part. Do they have balls? Nope, IMO... Balls would be laying in wait for the offender(s) to reappear and then taking action.

Public display, for the purpose to elict a prescribed response (fear), is borderline legal, ie, brandishing.

Anyways, just my $.02

The main point is that the title is incorrect. They have compliant arms not that it matters. You can see that they do if you zoom in. One guy has a 10 rd short magazine. The other a Thordsen stock with a longer magazine. And the other has what appears to be a standard rifle with a longer magazine. It would be pretty silly to have a mixture of compliant items with other non compliant items.

Again. Not that it matters.

They're smart... There's a consulting company that is accepting volunteers to sign up or "armed" neighborhood patrol. I guess they're all being unpaid armed security guards for this firm. Hmm... Most assuredly taking and passing the armed guard requirements of NYS overnite, hahahaha. Good stuff really!

When did Hasidic Jews stopped anyone from organizing and doing the same. By the way, they are not treated better by liberal establishment. They are vocally anti-gay, anti-abortion, anti-feminist. Liberals hate them. They are better organized and united, this is why politicians are scared of them. They used to storm police precincts in NYC in 1980's, they have balls when needed. .....and yes there is a violent anti-semitism in this country and around the world or we wouldn't be having this conversation.

According to your own logic, you are a coward for not doing confessions on an open forum just like someone else is a coward for not taking their non compliant firearms to a public/open range but would rather leave them at home. Both you for not confessing on an open forum and the guy who doesn’t take his hidden gun to an open range are both cowards for fear of not getting arrested.

They took up arms in defence of their community and accepted the consequences. I have nothing to gain except to prove a point to a stubborn idiot who will never accept reason or logic. My original point was that people are not complying, I never said they are not complying and admitting it on the internet. You raised that bar, because you don't have a point and not too bright.

There are two separate issues at play here.

The First and Primary issue (which I and would like to believe most on this forum see as a good) is that the community is choosing to defend itself from attack by utilizing their right to keep and bear arms. Whether the firearms are compliant or not is immaterial. For that I say bravo to them and wish more communities and people did the same and openly.

The second issue (which deserves another thread) is the fact that the Hasdic Jewish community plays by its owns rules, skirts the law to suit their needs, buys people off and when it can't do that it files lawsuits alleging antisemitism and usually win. Politicians from both political parties actively curry favor with them them because they vote in a block. If the rabbis tell their people to vote for a certain candidate, that candidate will win because they will we receive hundreds if not thousands of votes. What is going on in Rockland County is also going on here in Sullivan, perhaps a bit more under the radar though. The Hasdism will use their money and influence to ignore building code and zoning regulations to get projects completed. Any other average white, black, or brown guy would have to go through the whole process, pay the permit fees, and wait for review. They're also the world's biggest welfare queens and know better than anyone how to get social services to pay for literally everything. It's not fair but that is the reality of the situation.

At the state level they typically support Democrats and Prince Andy is, at least at the moment, their boy. Therefore, this community could roll up with full features ARs, machine guns, grenades, and tanks and Prince Andy would order all law enforcement to stand down. If you or I did that we'd be in shackles or a blood stained pulp on the sidewalk.

I believe in equal representation under the law. This situation is not equal.

Again, bravo to them for choosing to exercise their rights to defend themselves. That I fully support!
