It's that damn coating they put on the rounds! Possibly reload for plinking and buy factory for SD. Or maybe even pull tops on factory and seat bullets of your choice for SD.

A Tavor SBR bullpup is only 2 inches longer in length. The P90 beats it though as it is 2lbs lighter.

Tried one out at the firing pin (they have one for rent).

The one good thing going for the P90 (or civilian PS90) right now is that Ruger came out with a new gun in 5.7 and now Speer has developed a gold dot for the 5.7.
I've held one when I lived in SC, and not going to lie they are weirdly comfortable, which I didnt think they would be) that said with today's options I'd suggest going with a 11.5" 5.56 or a 9" 300blk
Especially if you already plan to SBR and add a can, hell go with the 300blk. The P90 wont be a good host for any light or optic (which yes are good ideas for a HD gun) and at the same time the ammo is velocity dependent, looks like the few options on the market are saying about 2,050fps (not sure of the speer gold dots) so you arent going to get the full potential/use of the suppressor (I did see one offering that was about 1,700fps)
Or you could go with a suppressed 300blk that is shooting 220g bullets right at about 1,000fps and has more than twice the energy and going to be much less stress on your ears
***edit*** oh other pro for the 5.56/300blk option is you could save yourself $200 by not SBRing it and just buy/assemble a "pistol" and now the gun itself isnt an NFA item and if you ever plan on traveling, especially out of state you can bring it with you without all the NFA paperwork and hassle of alerting the ATF (unless you bring the suppressor but that's a whole different issue)

Murray's Gunsmithing used to do SKS trigger jobs, can't tell from their site if they still do. I've fingered one and it was certainly better than a stock SKS trigger.

Already have a few AR pistols. This would just be a throw money away gun.

Dont get me wrong. Deff not saying dont get a p90.. get a p90 just maybe one of those AR pistols would make a better actual hd gun
Every gun I own is a HD Gun. Some defending CQB situations and some for defending the perimeter.
