Mostly because I felt it was a better option than just saying I have a gun.
I mean you don't have to say that either soooo again back to the original question..
But why, that seems pointless
Mostly because I felt it was a better option than just saying I have a gun.
Unless specific local ordinances for the cities of Buffalo, Rochester, or New York City (examples) require a duty to inform
LOL, had a very similar incident about 10 years ago. I got nailed for 82 in 65. I knew I was screwed, so I pulled over just before the trooper turn on the lights. the back of the Subabdo was full of rifle cases, I was headed up to the camp to go hunting. The unbelievably polite trooper asked were I was going, I told him I was going to north country to hunt and I had my Glock 22 on my right side, he thanked me, but said "I really don't care" we then had a 40 minute conversation about hunting and fishing in the Adirondacks, I thought he was just going to give me a warning, I was wrong ----bummer, LOLWas pretty zoned out the other day on I-81 after a long work day, had a 45 minute drive, saw a road pirate (state trooper), and he clocked me at 85mph in a 65. First thing I did was put both hands on the wheel and told him that I have a CCW, he was really nice, told me “thank you for disclosing that to me, many people don’t” and kept thanking me, shot the shit for a minute, really nice guy but I received my first ever ticket :/ went smooth though, just a little nervous!
The ironic part is that the 5th ammendment exempts anyone carrying illegally from that requirement....kind a like ... so much for the right to remain silent
That must be what happened to me.Fake News.
Troopers can search for it and find from their cars if they want to, but there's nothing that comes up automatically when they run your license.
That must be what happened to me.
I was on the side of the road because I witnessed an accident. Officer asked for my license so he could add to his report that I saw what happened. Came back to my truck and said "I see you have a pistol permit, do you have your pistol with you?"
Fifth Amendment, right to remain silent.anything you say may and will be used against you .. guilty or not ..
13 over is my rule of thumb. As u stated 15 over is when cops start pulling over. California kinda ruined me speed wise
I pulled over too before he lit me up. Really thought he would hit me with a reduced speed!LOL, had a very similar incident about 10 years ago. I got nailed for 82 in 65.
