He's pure evil pure evilThey got a search warrant and found, along with the gunpowder and ammo, the assault rifle, 14 licensed handguns, two loaded shotguns, a licensed rifle that lacked a safety lock device, unassembled assault rifles, high-capacity ammo magazines, an ammunition press, two Kevlar body armor vests and six Kevlar armor plates, authorities said.
What is he actually guilty of? He had licensed guns....so? Body armor....not illegal. "High capacity magazines," really? Capacity?
45k rounds. So?
Was he storing more powder than is allowable in NYC? Seriously, WTF?
The weapons were discovered when officers conducted a routine administrative pistol licensee review at Shou's apartment, the Queens DA's office said.
The DA said that, according to the charges, Shou did not have a federal firearms license as a gun dealer and is not licensed to sell or manufacture firearms or ammunition.
I thought this was important to qoute "The building is located less than two blocks from P.S. 139." It was very relevant to the story. What a monster......
He had a Craftsman screwdriver, does he qualify as an armory?Sad what passes for an arsenal these days.

Arsenal Discovered in Rego Park Apartment Shakes Neighbors
It was not clear why Shou was in possession of so many weapons but Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said that he does not have a federal firearms license as a gun dealer and is not licensed to sell or manufacture firearms or ammunition.
"License to manufacture ammunition?" For personal use? Is this a harbinger of what we're going to face in the future? Are we going to need a federal "reloading license?" Are we going to have to prove "safe storage" of powder and primers? You just know that the Leftist Progressives are working on this. By the way, Progressives...the unconstitutional Gun Control Act of 1968, as well as BATFE statements (Does an individual need a license to make a firearm for personal use? | Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) indicate that an individual DOES NOT NEED A LICENSE to manufacture a legal firearm for "...solely for personal use."
Neighbors said Shou lived in the building for about 4 years with his girlfriend in an apartment that belonged to her parents. That's right, Statists. Because he wasn't bothering anybody. He wasn't going to bother anybody. He was just jumping through the NYC hoops required of him in order to obtain more private property for his hobby.
They did not seem to have any suspicious visitors and appeared to be working from home, neighbors said.
“They were nice and quiet,” said a super at the building, who did not want to be identified. "Just a normal couple, they never said anything weird or suspicious."
More from February:
Man Arrested for Weapons Stockpile in Rego Park, Police Say
The stockpile included 17 licensed handguns, 45,000 rounds of ammo, two assembled AR-15 assault weapons and parts for another six and 225 pounds of gunpowder at the unemployed man's home, according to law enforcement sources.First, these Liberal Progressives should be forced to understand that the Bill of RIGHTS is not the Bill of NEEDS.
It's unclear why Guo was in possession of the many weapons.
“It could have taken down the building,” a source told DNAinfo New York.
Guo faces two counts of criminal possession of a weapon and one count of reckless endangerment, police said.
Second, even if the 225 pounds of smokeless gunpowder was intentionally made into a giant pipe bomb, it is highly doubtful that it would "take down the building."
Finally, it appears that he probably had magazines with >5 round capacity (i.e. "NYC high capacity") which led to the two counts of criminal possession of a weapon (since the guns were all licensed/registered) and got charged with reckless endangerment because of possion of powder in NYC (in quantities that are apparently not permitted by statutes that I cannot find).
and the waiting begins for the ones who didYou bring a thought to my mind, those who registered assault weapons, when do the "routine inspections" start?

Yes i was thinking in regards to NYS so called assault weapons registrations / safe act and future surprise Inspection's to all who registered NYC is a whole new can of wormsDude...everybody in New York that has pistols has registered firearms.
Unless you only have legal long guns that you've made for yourself with parts that were all purchased with cash, you've also got a paper trail. Sorry.
I HATE NYC (former resident). NYC has their own set of rules.
Ammunition You may not possess more than a total of 200 rounds of ammunition in your premises. Not 200 rounds of a certain caliber, not 200 rounds for each gun. Your TOTAL round count for ALL ammunition in your premises may not exceed 200 rounds. This is true for those with carry permits as well as premise permits. This is a NY Fire Department regulation.
I know.200 rounds? Damn! That's just a brief reloading session for me. Hell...my wife goes through 200 rounds of .380acp every time she goes to the range. I can't criticize, though since I don't keep track of how many 9mm rounds I use per session. I just know to load more when the ammo box gets low.
Also sad what passes for journalism/news these days. For that matter, sad what passes for politicians these days.Sad what passes for an arsenal these days.
"More Than 4 Handguns NYC allows for up to 4 handguns on a premises license. Upon purchasing the 5th gun, you must prove you have a safe, and sign a waiver agreeing to spot inspections of your firearms in your home by the NYPD. There is no absolute limit on the number of guns you can own (at least none is stated anywhere I can find).
I wonder what would happen if you refused entry. If they revoke your permit, it would be an interesting lawsuit.
Those are the deadliest kind who knows when and where they will go into Assault ModeHere is the most ominous bit of the story:
"Unassembled assault weapons"
This sounds like that guy who used to jump out of airplanes in the Army and likes wearing Stormtrooper Costumes.
Ahh. You are so modest!I wish I had that much powder!
