Glad I decided to to a detail slide strip while cleaning the pistols today. I noticed my new Glock 30S had the extractor spring installed backwards. I doubt it came from Glock that way. Probably someone messing with it before I bought it. It ran fine but I'm glad I caught it early on. It matters because one end is polymer and the other is metal. The polymer should touch the polymer slide cover plate and the metal end should touch the metal extractor. Check your firearms people!

I almost went there. The $18/hr kinda sucks. Nice place and I like the owners and staff there though. A word of caution. I went there a few weeks back on a Friday night and the clientele was a bit different than usual. What did it for me was when I overheard an employee telling 2 very young looking people who rented a rifle what direction to keep the muzzle and when they should and should not have their finger on the trigger. I packed my shit and did a burnout in the driveway I couldn’t leave fast enough. I don’t like being around that kind of stuff. Maybe I’m just an asshole though.

I can’t believe it’s still open. It’s run by the DEC. I wouldn’t be surprised if it closed soon. There is a sign telling you paper targets only and carry out what you bring in.

Beautiful day to sneak out. Still working on loads for the new / used RPR barrel. Increased jump for seating depth. Made a difference. Little more experimenting to do yet.

1. I cant reach the target with my pencil at more than 1.Nice groups. Was it 5 or 7 yds.?
So my girlfriend has never shot a gun before, has asked to go but not cause she had any interest in learning or shooting but more of a this is something you like so I'll try and show interest.
Well every other time she asked to go other stuff was going on, but we finally went today (shes gone and watched me shoot a few times, and shot a BB gun revolver once)
But today she shot my shitty marlin .22lr it was her first real gun and well she did damn well and even enjoyed it.
Had her eventually stretch out and shoot a 10" steel at 50 yards and shot it 5 for 5.
She was hitting a 1 or 2" swinging steel at 15 and 25 yards
And her favorite thing was shooting the steel plate rack
