I can't really see a family man engaging targets from mountaintop to mountaintop 2, 3, to 400 hundred yards plus away. The chances of you being in a battle like that are almost nil unless you are a member of a fireteam or something and you are going against another fire team.

We have talked about the intended purpose I have in mind for this rifle. Maybe less a SHTF implement and more of a partizan's tool?
Excepting that particular conceit, this rifle, as every other gun in my collection, serves as much as a recreational item as it does any other purpose. I found that having a scope on an AR is a lot of fun too. It takes a lot of the guesswork out of shooting at 100 yards and beyond. Blasting those rocks at 200 yards in one shot one kill fashion was an absolute riot and now I can actually make use of those elusive 300 yard plates now too. Have you seen those practical accuracy tests on 9-Hole Reviews' channel? I would love to have access to a steel range facility like that! Even with my middling shooting ability hitting an IPSC steel silhouette at 200 yards is very simple. I'd like to develop my abilities out to 500 now.
