Reloading 6 Creedmoor for bolt gun

The 20 plus years that I have been reloading, I have never reloaded for a Bolt gun. All my sizing dies have always been full length or small base/full length for my killer black rifle machine guns. Now that I just got a bolt gun thats not a rimfire I'm looking at purchasing dies. Should I order just a neck sizer similar to this RCBS Gold Medal Match Series Bushing Neck Sizer Die 6mm Creedmoor and purchase a seater die seperatly ???

Just so you know,,,I dont shoot matches and dont plan to but I do want accurate woodchuck shredding ammunition.

PS. Picked up my RPR 6 Creedmoor today,,,,very happy so far! Even passed the background check,,,guess that old murder charge doesnt show up anymore,,,imagine that, I'm so relieved.

Sorry not much input here, so far I have used RCBS standard dies. I'm not sure if I have the shooting ability to spend the money on better dies.

Rcbs standard dies are very good dies.
Most modern dies, even the budget 2 die sets, are capable of producing match level consistency.
It is more important to understand where the brass is in terms of dimensions and headspace and perhaps unscrew the standard dies a tad if not needed for reloads and bolt gun.
The key is that brass, charge, bullet sitting and tension is a carbon copy of the load before and the next one. That is how consistency is achieved.

I use a Hornady match set with the micrometer adjuster for seating. Bought a bushing die by chance and glad I did as it gives you the ability to vary neck tension. As an average, the seater inserts bullets with less than .002 run out, if that sort of thing matters. It's a full length die but I've found that I dont have to move shoulders much at all as fired cases seem to chamber nicely with no effort.

Obviously I can elaborate on powders, bullets, cases, etc that I'm using.

I assume yours passed the freebore test?

500yds will more than likely be max and I will be shooting manufactured match loads to start and then will be reloading match bullets.

Shoulder bump with a standard FL die of your choice + proper load development and you will be good to go.

Oh don't blame me for spending big money on an Atlas! Mine came with another gun I bought so I'm a cheapskate. I'm pretty happy with mine so far. I usually run $15 dollar Amazon cheapo's.

Same here on the cheapos but they dont level properly,,,one leg is always a CH longer, no matter how hard I try to push it in and being that Im trying to be a world renowned sniper,,, I cant have that,,, so I paid for the expensive one.

Yup. 115g is the max to my knowledge.

6creed offers a new opportunity to spend a lot of money chasing the "new shiny"

It looks to me if you want to use the new fangled, high performance bullets in your .243 Winchester a “good” gunsmith should be able to throat it to fit the bullet of your choice.

This is all assuming the longer bullets do not fit. I use the 105 gr. Nosler Partition in a .243 and it works fine. Also keep in mind the new bullets have a sleek shape which should help with hanging them out a bit and not engaging the rifling...

I have loaded 115's in my. 243. Not enough twist to stabilize.

The max bullet and oal is dictated by the bullet length.
So it depends on the type of bullet and construction(shape) not simply grains.
These cartridges are all over-bored.
I would say the 6mmx47 lapua is about the max on wants and possibly the best.
Anything larger is really a bit of a waste and dashers and other exotic choices are not worthy.
For most folks there is little reason to not go with the 6mm BR lapua that is one
of the most (if not the most) efficient and accurate cartridge ever designed.

Blasphemy, 6mm sounds better than .243. By all metrics. You have that gunsmith sprinkle more fairy dust on that reamer next setback.
