OJ lost his shirt in the civil trial to the goldmans. But he wasn't ever ruled to have been justified in killing her. That makes a world of difference in a civil trial.no, OJ got nailed for something else, like robbery or something weird??? But they threw the book at him along with volumes 2 and 3,

Kyle never denied shooting and killing them. His trial positively ruled that he did so in justified self defense.
OJ was just not guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, but when the civil trial came around he *was* guilty by a preponderance of the evidence.
Kyle was different. I don't think the civil trail can argue the justification again. It wasn't just that the prosecution didn't prove he did it. It was the defense that proved he was justified. I don't think the different evidentiary standard for a civil trial makes a difference there.
OJ went to prison because he committed additional unrelated crimes long after the murder case was decided.
That's because of the difference in evidentiary standard between a criminal and a civil case. After O.J. Simpson's 1995 trial, which was a criminal case, the victims' families sued Simpson for wrongful death. The civil trial began in October 1996. Simpson was found responsible for the deaths of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman, and their families were awarded $33.5 million in damages.

Elaborate? And I don't think you're his type.Fuck Rittenhouse.
Elaborate? And I don't think you're his type.
If he was "just looking for trouble", then you could say the same thing about most cops too.Whiney little kid that was looking for trouble. I do not pick up the hype that he was such this great little guy, just trying to help.
He is a punk. His shootings were justified, no issue with that.
He is very similar in my mind to David Hogg.
If he was "just looking for trouble", then you could say the same thing about most cops too.
I'm not anti police in general.Your anti police retoric is well known.
The two have nothing to do with each other.
Rittenhouse is the good neighbor who helps you build your deck. So, is Rittenhouse in the same mindset of the carpenter?
His first encounter was with the guys pushing the burning dumpster into a gas station.uuum, was Kyle looking for trouble, not really. He was attacked first, and he ran away. The three or four attackers, went after him first. He defended himself. AFTER the self-defense, he ran TOWARD the police and tried to flag them down, they drove by him. He turned himself in/
This doesn't sound like someone looking for trouble, it does sound like someone trying to do the right thing.
and who let these riots go on for DAY'S. Did the governor bring in ANYONE to try and quell the riot. Nope, the .gov left it up to the citizens.
in conclusion, I have no problem with what took place that night and the final result.
So, are we *not* supposed to put out fires in case we might piss off the arsonists that started them and be forced to defend ourselves ?
Well, you can shoot the arsonist anywhere.i think in NY you can shoot the arsonist ..
