Went to a show there last night. As soon as we walk in the door I see a bunch of security guys patting people down, looking in purses, etc. Told my wife I forgot something and I'd be right back, and went to lock my gun in the car (and worry for the next 3 hours that it'd get stolen).
Go back in, the security person starts patting me down, sees my little pocket knife and says you can't bring that in here. Seriously people? Second trip back to the car.
Third time entering I get the royal treatment, coat open, felt up, thought for sure I'd at least get a reach-around but no such luck. He asked me if I had any weapons to which I replied "not any more". His look told me he wasn't amused.
So if you're planning to attend any shows at Riviera Theater in North Tonawanda, best to strip down ahead of time and save yourself some hassle - or better yet, patronize somewhere else that's more gun friendly.
But hey, at least the show was really good.
