Roy Moore loses. Republicans down to 51 in the Senate.

For the last fifty years that I have seen left wing asshat politicians enact law after law telling me how I should live. Every Roy Moore type I have ever seen might be a little to preachy for me but the only laws I ever see them try to enact are for our country and constitutionally sound. I don't have to live with him or his ilk, but I do have to live with the myriad of unconstitutional, divisive, social engineering bullshit enacted by the left.

Since he’s a fill in he’s up for reelection in 4 years.

Alabama is a red state and if he wants to keep being a senator he’s going to have to suck on republican balls otherwise next election he is going to lose by a wide margin. Truth be told he can do all the ball sucking he wants he’s probably gonna lose the election anyway to another Republican.
So the way I see it I think he’s going to be more of a Republican in Democrat clothing To appease the fine folks of Alabama.

It's still hanging over the republicans because some supported him. It's going to be especially problematic for trump.

Trump is a "Tool". I don't care for his style or personality. The only reasons I voted for him was to -
1) save the 2nd Amend. (Trump said he was pro gun rights)
2) prevent Hillary from getting in WH.
3) do something about these illegals immigrants and borders.
4) do something about Obamacare.

So far I believe the "Tool" is trying to get stuff done; but the do nothing congress / senate is F-ing up the process.

I could be off base, but it seems to me that most people have had enough of the crap the left is pushing these days. Even a lot of my lefty NYC friends are fed up with it at this point. I think we're ready for some politicians who don't want to get bogged down in moral issues on either side. I also think there are plenty of people willing to vote for someone who has strong religious beliefs, but not someone who brandishes this type of hellfire and damnation and wants to apply it while they're in office.

But Jones says he supports the 2nd Amendment. Says he is in favor of Concealed Reciprocity. He is from Alabama. It could be true. But he is also a Democrat, so he could be lying. Wouldn't surprise me. He is a two years senator at most. Hopefully the Republic primary voter won't screw up so bad next time.

That is what you choose to believe. I do not know the truth about it. There are credibility issues with the accusers, many of the accusations have been proven false. Many men that knew him at West point, Vietnam and shortly after separation from the Army, even those that did not like him said he was a man of personal integrity.
People choose to believe what they will, but if we are to go on testimony alone, which is pretty much all we have, the lies uncovered about his accusers, versus the fitness of his character by friend and foe alike, I tend to believe this was a successful scripted take down of a political enemy, not only by deep state progressives, but McConnell et al.

I don't disagree with that at all - for those who will vote. We all saw what happened with Hillary, though. Democrats stayed home, or voted third party.

As for Moore, main thing is just that I think you can be religious and win a vote, but if a candidate starts making public religious statements like Moore's, it's going to turn a bunch of voters off. Then add in the allegations, and you've got a pretty unrelatable, unelectable guy.
