I have a question for Ruge PC Carbine owners-
With the red dot mounted on the receiver rail, what is the POI shift after removing and reattachING the barrel? Is there a shift at all?

There are numerous barrel mount options available for all types of optics.

Reason I am asking about the receiver mount is that I find myself recommending the Ruger PC Carbine to freinds and family in NY asking me about a good defensive gun option. I also recommend putting a red dot in it. However these are completely uninitiated non gun folk we are talking about and I want to keep things as simple as possible. Switching out the rear sight base for a red dot mount may be a bit intimidating for some.

I concur, no movement in POI in about the same time frame, maybe even longer. Purchased when first released, not sure when that was. At my age , the years are starting blend together

Everything I have is black or gray and I even have a rifle in OD green. Thought I’d add some variety and color to the collection with FDE, my first and I’m happy I went with it. Even took it out last night and dialed it in.
