I have been advised by our production team that they are still waiting on reamers for the 6mm caliber and are still unable to make a new barrel for your firearm. At this time they have no time frame on when they will be getting the reamers. They are offering to replace your firearm with a brand new one in another caliber of your choice. If you would like to accept this offer please let me know a dealer that we can send the new model to. Also it states in a note that you have a competition coming up, what is the date you would need the new rifle by?

Sounds like they are trying to do the right thing but "we have no idea when our tools are coming in" is a bit disturbing for a big company.

Not after all the time and effort I've put into the reloading side of this. Not to mention, why should I change what I want when all I want is it to be right?
Sorry, I think I cross posted this issue in .y reloading adventure thread. There were issues with the throat and was jamming into the lands.

Sorry to hear your issue with your rpr. Sucks when u spend that kind of money and you get disappointed. I agree with you in not wanting another caliber. You bought the 6cm over the 6.5cm for a reason. If ruger can’t fix it in a timely matter maybe u should try to get your money back or a partial refund then have it rebarreled.

After a stern (but respectful) response, looks like they might have found tooling after all.
I was just told that we are expecting some more tooling tomorrow and they will let me know if they can get this taken care of for you. I will keep you posted as I hear anything.

I've sent rifles back to smith and wesson and savage. It took about two weeks both times, but the rifles were fixed.

my rifle was sent back to savage at one point. it took them a month, however that month was over december 12th to the first week of january that i got it back. for holiday time thats pretty good imo.

I shoot fgmm 308 175gr. My rifle really likes them. 5 shot group at 100 yards. I pulled the one shot. I do have the fgmm in 6.5 140 GR, haven’t shot the rifle yet

Based on the flow of our correspondence, I think they were backed up, apparently the point of offering me a whole new rifle. I think this may have been a larger problem in this caliber than anyone knows about. Just wish they hadn't fed me bullshit about it. In the end, if its corrected, I will be happy. Time will tell

Well as of yesterday it appears we've finally reached a solution for this. They're buying me a new rifle.
I spoke to the new manager of their Precision Rifle dept. and for whatever reason they cant get their hands on the tooling to team a barrel. Their diagnosis of my gun was that it had no freebore, which was kind of obvious.
While I'm not happy with the problem, I guess the solution works for me. Just hoping my next one doesnt have the same issue. Should know in a week or so.

Like we discussed in another thread. They forgot to cut with the 2nd throater reamer.
By rhe serial nr. They will know who was the einstein running the machine thst day.

If you do end up coming down here this summer to chuck hunt, bring the RPR. Whether it be the 6mm or the 6.5mm caliber you might possibly choose for the new gun they are giving you. Ive been back and forth trying to decide between the 2 and it just so happens that it was the RPR I was going to go with.

The guy I spoke to was apparently "new" in that department, leading me to believe maybe he replaced the person who created this situation to begin with. Maybe a simple mistake but obviously making a HUGE problem for Ruger.
I ended up with the newest Gen3 worth substantially more than I paid for my first one.
Whenever you're ready to make some pink mist on chucks, you just let me know.

I think your biggest problem here is the low amount of people running 6mm Creed. I'm sure this is a major issue but most people who use 6 Creed for prs will build off an action and custom barrel. And the few people who bought the 6mm off the shelf are probably thinking it's a good awful round because of this and don't shoot it enough to notice.

I'd agree with you to a point. Its not a round that came out yesterday and I agree that there's people who'd be running custom equipment but I cant believe that everyone buying these are as dumb as a post, and with the interwebs, I'd find it harder to believe no one has mentioned it. You dont have to be a gunsmith or a 2 mile NAVY seal to figure out something ain't quite right. I did.

Everyone keeps asking that question over and over again. Factory. If I tried chambering my hands loads into it I'd be checking my work long before I started blaming Ruger. I checked it with a modified case and I knew before I even pulled it out what it was going to tell me.
