Jan 31st 2018 or if you got your permit within 5 yrs then 5 yrs from that date...

Ohio ties CCW to your vehicle registrations. Not sure how far that information propagates, or if it’s only visible to OH agencies.

NC links your CHP to your DL/plates, and in addition, you must notify the cop. SC, you need to notify, not sure if plates are linked.

My educated guess says no more than 50 to a couple hundred on the last day. Almost everyone I know already did it online. Nobody wants to play that game but us. We just don't have the numbers to cause anything significant I believe.

I may just go online too out of convenience since 150 guys from here aren't going to make much of a difference.

Word has been getting out via clubs, forums, meetings and the water cooler to send them hard copy in January. It's not disrespect of law enforcement it's disrespect of the bureaucracy and loathing hate of NY micro-management.

that and Thruway tolls, 1180D surcharges (and traffic tickets in general) The tolls on the Tapan Zee are going to go up. all the tunnel fees will go up. watch the gas tax will go up. And It would not surprise me to see a NEW "highway use tax" instituted.

I really wish you guys would stop talking about 'higher fees' here. NY law specifys that the minimum fee for amendments to your permit be set at $ 3.00. There is no cap, or upper limit listed on these fees. All it would take is a bunch of anti-firearm curlytail legislators in Albany to 'suggest' a 'reasonably higher fee' - one high enough to effectively 'stifle' future handgun purchases.

Last I knew certified comes with a tracking number that you can look up to see if letter was delivered and on what date.

Pistol/Revolver License holders who live in New York City, Westchester, Nassau and Suffolk counties are notrequired to recertify through this process. Each of these municipalities already requires license holders to renew or recertify their license on a periodic basis.

does the recertification in these counties go the NYSP or do they just go to the COUNTY pistol permit officer/county clerk???
